People make fun of the "you took his picture, you know him" thing but it's not that far-fetched. Peter Parker regularly captures high-quality, up-close images of Spider-Man when nobody else can even get a glimpse of him on camera. It's not crazy for Harry to assume they have some form of relationship.

What's more, if Spider-man had a problem with Peter taking his picture, you wouldn't keep seeing him getting those shots. He'd have beaten Peter up or something (if they weren't the same person) and not allowed him to take them to print. So, I get the assumption too.

Peter was being totally irresponsible in this story; he ignored Uncle Ben’s words of responsibility and he pushed his best friend away after begging for his help to save his life. If he had just given him a sample of his blood to Harry, he could not only had saved his best friend from going down a dark path, he would have spared Gwen from getting killed in the line of fire. It’s all Peter’s fault.

Peter even tried telling Harry to give him time to figure out something, but Harry was stubborn and wouldn’t listen! His father lived a long life before dying to his illness, If Harry would’ve been more patient, Peter may have been able to find a way to help him!!

And he then became just like Mr. Osborn in Tobey's spiderman trilogy, in the sense that Mr. Osborn was a good man until he took the serum. Just like the Harry in THIS triology, he took the serum in desperation, and it backfired. That's why he killed Peter's gf, because it quite clearly made him to where he wasn't the same Harry anymore. But what i'm trying to say, is that the Harry in this YT clip here, is pretty justified in this moment. That's it. The Harry in Tobey's trilogy actually tried to kill Peter, after he learned about Peter supposedly "killing" his father. But the Harry in Tobey's trilogy actually redeems himself in 3, because again, he didn't take the serum and had a chance to grow. Even tho I think he was justified for wanting to kill Peter, but that's another topic.

If I wrote the script I would have Harry be like in his normal state but the retrovirus is slowly affecting him and after asking peter/spiderman kindly he puts on the glider and suit and battles spiderman. While trying to fight him he cuts spiderman and takes a little of his blood and retreats. He then injects himself with the blood and instead of healing the retrovirus begins to mutate him into the later green goblin. And through out the movie he becomes more and more grotesque looking.

People love to hate this movie, but there's no knocking the acting. Dane, Andrew, Sally, and Emma in particular acted this film like it was a serious drama (when necessary). They weren't phoning it it. That's what makes this film better than people give it credit for. The problem is the stupid studio insisting on throwing everything and the kitchen sink into it! The studio failed the series, the original characters, and the actors, imo.

I think it's kind of hard to compare Harry's actors for the same reason its hard to compare Peter's. They're acting different material under different direction as slightly different characters. That's why with auditions they always have actors act the exact same scene with the same director, because that's the only way to properly compare them. I'm not saying you can't like one more than the other, it's just hard to say which actor is better themself.

Because Peter got super-up-close photos of him. Even with a zoom lens, some were way too close. The assumption is that Spider-Man would have seen him and allowed it, implying some kind of conversation would have taken place.

I honestly felt really bad for Harry tbfh. He is a young kid who doesn’t want to die and is trying to find a cure to save himself. 🤷🏻‍♀️ He is a tragic character, and you can tell those two really did care about each other. I personally loved this Harry, he isn’t a bad guy.

It kinda messes with the pacing when they have Harry return from wasn’t-in-the-first-movie school and has that scene with Peter just to establish their friendship. They did a decent job considering they only had this one film to build a relationship between them and get the audience to empathize with him before turning him into the villain

Still crazy that they used this plot for Spider-Man 2 (PS5). Harry being sick and needing of cure but said cure is actually dangerous for him so Spider-Man had to stop him out of it but forces himself to it anyway and became the villain Green Goblin/Venom.

The reason Triple JJJ always asked Peter - and no one else - for more Spidey pics is because he also assumed that there's some connection between them. I vaguely remember him repeatedly commenting on that fact in the 90's comics I read as a kid, but only in his thoughts. I think he didn't mention it to anyone. And why would he, he wanted the pics for the Daily Bugle!
