Great reaction, I wait to see 2. Regarding Mary Jane, she is not in this movie, although she was planned to appear in the third that was canceled. Gwen is Gwen is not Mary Jane, they are different people even in the comics. Peter has had many love interests, Gwen and Mary Jane are the greatest.

sadly Amazing SM movies had so many problems, they changed the story many times, totally changed Amazing 2 as they knew a 3rd would never be made so the movie story seems incomplete, which is caused by Disney buying Marvel ...

Ellie's scowling is one of the most believable I’ve ever seen. She’d be a great actress if she had some training. She expresses so much with her eyes and even can cry so easily and then get angry, surprised, worried or contented very fast

That’s because she’s dumb. Everything surprises her because everything the movies tells her it goes ever her head, so everything surprises her. She doesn’t retain anything from the storytelling, she can’t even predict basic plot and twist. Even when she was doing the rewatch of the MCU with Michelle she got surprised, even tho she saw it and sometimes Michelle asked her or told her something that the movie just told her and she was like “no, I don’t think so”, the movie can literally give her the answers and she still doesn’t get it. The only one that is a little bit smart is Maggy, she at least remember stuff and doesn’t overreact with everything.

@@WhoCares-dl8zr More like he customized a suit, using the already available suit options and gadgets using Stark's sci-fi sewing machine (whatever it's called lol). Maybe in the future he will actually make his own. I mean he did make his first costume, albeit just a sweater and pants, so I don't know if it counts 😂

This story is a bit more attached to the comics, Gwen Stacy was Peter Parker's first love and then Mary Jane is, in Tobey Mcguayer's movies they skip Gwen's love story and you know that according to Mary Jane's known since children, but it's a lie, in the comci her aunt May introduces her to her and it took them years to introduce her because she always gave her long or fought against some villain and left her standing

i love the chemistry between peter and gwen. the best i've seen in a comic-book movie. so flirty, funny and effortless. doesn't feel scripted or forced.

Gwen Stacy was Peter Parker's (high school) girlfriend, before Mary Jane. The Amazing films show the Gwen story line as was originally told in the comics (more or less). MJ will not be featured in these two films. The previous trilogy (with Toby McGuire) flipped things around a bit, making MJ Peter's high school/college(?) crush (even making her live next door to him), and Gwen Stacy coming along later to create a little tension in the relationship.

Spider-Man meets Gwen first, then for various reasons he meets Mary Jane later. The first Spider-Man trilogy and most recent trilogy decided to skip Gwen because more happens with MJ than her, but Gwen is very important.

@15:30 you mention the web shooters as something artificial and not organic...in this version. No...pretty sure that Spider-Man scientifically created the cartridges that allow him to shoot webs and that dates back to the1960's when Spidey first started appearing in comics? Could be wrong about that but I am sure that I used to see Saturday morning cartoons way back in the day before any Spidey movie existed where it was a common thing for him to run out of web fluid at the most inopportune times.

The reason why the original trilogy and TASM1 were memorable, was because of LAURA ZISKIN It was because of her and her husband, the screenwriter Alvin Sargent, that the movies had depth She was the only one capable to tell AVI ARAD when to back off Unfortunately, she died in 2011, during the production of TASM1 Without her, there was no one to stop Arad from destroying the franchise Spiderman was nothing without her

Avi Arad is not the bad guy. He’s done great shit going back to the awesome animated shows in the 90s. This sentiment against him is because Kevin Feige wants all the power. But the MCU has slowly gone to shit since he’s gathered said power. I would much rather have Arad in charge of my entertainment than Feige.
