TASM being a bit more darker is a good thing. As long as they don't over do it. Sense it was more darker it was more realistic. Which is a good thing.

A lot of Spider-Man comics have dark moments (the night Gwen Stacy died, Kraven's last hunt, the Others, One More Day, The Master Planner arc, etc) but Spider-Man is still a lighthearted funny character. Tobey was fantastic in Spider-Man 1 and the video games but he could have shown a little more self confidence, a little more ribbing and standing up to J Jonah Jameson. Andrew too me did pretty good in his first Spider-Man movie and it looks like he's going to knock it out of the park in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 While TASM had darker more serious movie compared to the Rami films it had it had it's fair share of light hearted moments to (Peter discovering his powers, Peter showing off against Flash, the Stan Lee cameo, Peter web slinging through the city).

I feel kind of mad you just said that. Being Spidey is my favorite super-hero. 2012 is actually original and 2002 is the way Sam Raimi wanted it to be. And he had web-shooters before his body was able to develop webs through his pores on his wrist by pressing on his palms. Though he switched up the suit a little. I liked it, but it wasn't as clean and crisp looking as the actual suit.

His head movements were there to basically show the audience that Peter wasn’t comfortable in his own skin. And by the time the movie ends you can see he becomes a lot more stern.

It's not really a serious plot, since I saw it many times and it seems more for young lovers, while Tobey's is more of an Amazing Fantasy, leading to the two being tied, Tobey's is not that realistic, but has an excellent, pretty deep plot, Andrew's plot is more realistic, but not as deep or as good as Tobey's
