After nearly a year in the making, I am so excited to finally release the story of how my bamboo bike got stolen and the wild roller coaster ride I went on to try to get it back. Many of you saw the adventure as it unfolded, but you only saw a fraction of the whole story.
When I decided to search for the bike I had a feeling it was going to be quite the adventure, so I decided to film it, but I never, ever expected it to turn out like this. I truly hope that you'll take the time to watch this short film. I believe you'll be very glad you did.
Robin Greenfield is a truth-seeker, activist, social reformer and servant to Earth, humanity and our plant and animal relatives. He lives simply and sustainably to be the change he wishes to see in the world. Through living closely connected to Earth, he rejects the status quo of consumerism and demonstrates a way of being in gratitude, mindfulness and presence. His life is an experiment with truth and integrity.
Robin’s public activism involves dramatic actions designed to provoke critical thought, self-reflection and positive change. His activism creates nuanced conversations on the critical issues of our time, with a focus on solutions for living in harmony.
His life’s work has been covered by media worldwide and he has been named “The Robin Hood of Modern Times” by France 2 TV and “The Forrest Gump of Ecology”.
Robin has committed to earning below the federal poverty threshold for life and donates 100% of his media earnings to grassroots nonprofits, with a focus on supporting Black and Indigenous women-led organizations.
This channel is a resource for all who seek to liberate themselves, to live in truth and integrity, and to live in harmony with Earth, humanity and the plants and animals we share this home with.
Robin Greenfield and Dear Friends share means of achieving liberation and harmony through sustainable living, simple living, tiny house living, foraging, growing food and medicine, minimalism, zero waste, earth-skills, food sovereignty, community resilience, compassionate communication, activism, Black Liberation, Indigenous Sovereignty and living in service.

Hi Ya, I've had a blessed life I'm 70 years old , I'm changing my residence and I must have ten bikes in my garage . I now know what I'm gonna do with them. And I'm working with the Manager of my new residence to find homes for bikes that have been abandoned in the locker room. Also, a good friend of mine works for boys and girls clubs ,so we are going to collaborate to develop a bike program. My heart feels so full.

Yeah, I was clearly implying that society has a negative expectation that men be aggressive and violent. Our culture too often raises men with certain unhealthy standards--never cry or be soft, anger and aggression are fine, etc., and it's nice to see a guy that's clearly not fucking with that. I also think this evidenced a wider societal problem of reacting to crime with punishment and disdain rather than understanding and corrective justice (there are some exceptions of course but I generally believe that society first makes the criminal and then punishes them)

After an accident left me homeless after 14 months in the hospital. I eventually ended up working with homeless people for the last 30 years. What you did was spot on. Love is the power above all else. It is not being a social worker that is needed, but a brother, an uncle, a father, and even a mother, is most often what is called for and the best counseling starts with "I went through something just like that once!!". This is what Christ is saying when he tells his disciples..."I will make you fishers of men." You cast a wide net my brother. Well done.

@@in4theride75 a lot of homeless people can't get a job or a place to stay because they have a criminal record. You have no idea how hard it is to find someone to take you if you have a record. Even if they don't they could have a mental illness that makes it hard to hold a job down. Also most employers or people renting will not give you a chance if they know that you're homeless because there is a lot of stigma about homeless people. It's a especially hard in the states because there are next to no support for people to help them get on their feet. I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's really really hard. @@taylorplaysgames1145 Jesus was an actual man that was documented during his lifetime by both Jewish and Roman historians. He taught real sermons, and real people followed his teachings and way of life. Whether or not you want to believe he was the Son of God, and performed miracles, and returned from the dead is up to you. But he lived a real life, mate, very similar to how Rob is living. Try to be a little more respectful and open minded when speaking in absolutes.

It’s good to know people can be like Rob. I just hate people that make us feel insecure, make us look over the shoulder all the time. I don’t care if it’s drugs or whatever, but stealing is just wrong and can cause everlasting damage to the one that was robbed. This guitar man will do it again, don’t be fooled by the good spirit of Rob’s video. Anyway... I loved the campaign that made so many children happy. ❤️

I once felt like you, but for the last twenty years I felt that I've been screwed over too many times and that perhaps I just made up excjses instead of being compassionate to avoid conflict and I feel that I've lost "it". I am all about revenge and payback and my first reflex was to break Guitar Johnny's nose. Perhaps I need to think it over once more.

Life experience can make you feel that way. I'm in a similar situation where I try really hard to live a peaceful life and do as many good deeds as I can. I feel similarly often. I feel misjudged and can become completely angry and just all about questioning how can things ever be put right. Something that has been helping me a lot is reading or listening to Psalms 37, especially the first 11 verses. I don't mean to bring fake "religion" into it, just real words from someone who knows us. These verses tell me not to worry about the wrong others may have done. The answer is to do good. Wishing you peace and love.

Sometimes we gotta step back to look at what we’ve become and realize who we once were and aspired to be. It’s good to consciously shift yourself every now and then… “molt” “transform.” I go through this when I feel societal ills are weighing me down.
