I mean that's gotta be an error right? like they got a day before shipping it off to be printed and they realised that the boss fight wasn't loading while the cutscene was happening and had to load the entire thing at the end
@@Draggobuttboi you mean video game animator's block I think when Splash Warfly said "take this" he should have blasted the hunter of the player's choice with dangerous water
+Asa Sitnikov I've recognize that those 2 voice acting are the same if you listen very closely. It sounds like Vanishing Gungaroo sounds a little bit deeper than Axl's voice.
AmnesiaMaster The Ultimate Maverick Hunter I swear, there's something off when comparing the dialogue from X7 and X8. Maybe it's just more mention of the word Maverick?
And YET, At The Same Time, While Gungaroo Is NOT The Best Maverick Of The Game, He MIGHT Be The Most Iconic One, Considering His Stage, Awesome Music, Interesting Boss Fight And *_TWI-ANGLE KICK!!!!_*
I actually love these exchanges. You rarely see characters actively talk shit against the bosses or see such cheesy one-liners in a Megaman game. Like, on one hand it's goofy but it's also kind of badass
@@TheSpawnfan I dunno. I think here, the way you hear the boss music in the background and just how corny and over the top some of the one liners are is really what sells it for me. X8 does a better job at like, taking itself more seriously and coming off as more believable/fluid in its writing and delivery I guess, but I dunno, as imperfect as X7's voice acting is, it has a certain charm. It's like, as cheesy and exaggerated as it can possibly be and kind of hitting that fine line
And most are really only ruined by the voice acting (mostly X's and Zero's). I think the Fish guy in the beginning sounds pretty good, the Honcho guy was also doing good, but I don't like Gungaroo's and Stonekong's Voice acting. Gungaroo may be forgivable cuz he really does sound like an annoying kid (And I couldn't stop laughing on his dialogue), but Stonekong sounds so... lifeless and boring. I legit found his dialogue with the Maverick hunter trio interesting but the voice acting... ugh. Worst offenders are X and Zero ofc (If we don't count Hyenard)
I agree with you on Axl and Zero, but I personally think X sounds like he got drunk at the recording booth! All I can say is thank goodness for X8, because this is just mortifying!
X7 is not the best. But i much prefer X sounding like a man than what he did in X4. X7 was good idea in concept, but not executed well in my view in terms of 3D. If they used Command Mission X and took away the turn based elements with action paced. It could be great!. Hope if they make X9 someday that they can use that as concept!
Vanishing Gungaroo: "HAHAHA! Look at me, look at me! Im king of the mountain!" X: "stop it, stop it right there..." I laughed so hard at the way X said that
*ZERO* "How sweet. You looks like you're having a swell time swinging around your new toy." _"You looks like you're having a swell time"_ *_"You looks like"_*
X sounds like he's sick, Zero sounds high, and Axl just sounds downright like an adorable 10 year old. Possibly his age considering he's a New Generation Prototype. Then again Reploids don't age. Then again, Red Alert has been causing trouble for a while... Soooooo he was alive before X7? GODDAMMIT. LOGIC.
X doesn’t sound like he’s actually trying to put the emotion in his voice and I can see where he sounds drunk. Zero is just a Batman wannabe. Axl is that teenager that doesn’t know what’s going on.
"HAHAHA! Look at me, look at me! Im king of the mountain!" What X say: "Stop it, stop it right there" what i wanted he to say: "Stop it, get some help"
Honestly, the best protagonist in this game is arguably Zero. X just complains to everyone because they're fighting, Axl's like a little kid and overly cocky, but Zero is still calm and has the ability to produce one-liners. Plus, his voice actor isn't half bad.
I like Zero’s voice actor gave him a much deep voice because taking out these gangs is basically just another day at the office (basically being Batman). X gets much better in X8 and Axl (somewhat Robin) gets itchy trigger happy.
I love how Ride Boarsky always has that pause between the opening line and when he switches from motorcyle to normal, he's like "Omg he did not just say that to me right now"
I actually like tonions and hyenards voices. Tonion sounds fittingly hilarious, and hyenard is a mechanical hyena writhing in pain due to a malfunction. So obviously he’s gonna sound like that
I like Soldier Stonekong. Idk his whole "philosophical" talk makes him sound so badass. "Let me ask you, what is war?" "A method for imposing one's will upon another." "Precisely, now no more talk. Let our swords speak for us! Only the victors will be viewed as righteous in the eyes of history!" Then his line with Axl makes him sound like he's smarter than everyone else is, like he's putting a bit more thought into things than he might be making out but truly cares about his comrades and sticks with them no matter what "Both you and I know they are being manipulated. But I fight for loyalty. Ready yourself!" Then Flame Hyenard sounds like someone who's completely lost it and has just gone apeshit. Like, berserk in the way that you would expected someone infected by a deadly brain virus to be. He's not even in control of himself - like his brain has just short-circuited and he's going on one huge killing spree until someone puts him out of his misery. Idk, I kinda think it's an interesting personality. He doesn't even have an explicit desire to kill but instead it's like being inflicted by this uncontrollable urge inside of him and there's no way for him to rationalize what's going on, just kill kill kill until he can somehow get the compulsion to go away
Stonekong: "I've never seen a battle Reploid as per... we shall have the fight to end all fights." Brilliant voice acting Capcom, really flows with the subtitles
Can we just acknowledge that this video required, *at minimum*, TWO playthroughs of Mega Man X7? That is a hell that no sentient creature should be subject to, and I think we should all take a moment to honor such a sacrifice.
X: A young teen who isn't even trying to sound intrested Zero: Literally Batman Axl: Does sound like a kid, so they got that right, but he sounds too nerdy
Ughhhh, X sounds he was drinking, Axl sounds like a little Girl, and Zero's only attempt at sounding cruel was making his voice as deep as possible! Gatha, Gilbertson, and Watson did this so much better!
I love how axl and splash war fly have no dialogue. They literally just at each other’s necks in their scene Lmaoo. They had picks w each other for a while
this wasn't the last time he had to deal with crappy children. in Zero 3 he had to retrieve two dumb baby elves, and had to race against an annoying Ice rabbit. Makes you question how childhood works in the world of reploids.
Sometimes I like to think the toaster line is literal and maverick hunters like to play with old small machines in their free time. Also, I really like axl's voice unlike the others, I think it suits him.
Now I imagine someone walking in on X's office unathorized and he gets pissed saying something like "Can't you see how busy I am?" Come back later!" But as soon as they leave, X goes back to playing with a literal toaster and giggling as he watches the bread jump out
Mega Man X7: "We only have enough budget for one take! Get the janitor and some random guy walking by outside and let's record some voices! Oh, but make sure to give the Flame Hyenard guy a coffee before he or she goes, wait, actually, make it seventeen coffees!"
