i'm amazed how not only did they manage to keep the original nes tune, but made the music also sound strait out of the early 90s disney afternoon. this is making me crave ecto cooler and dunkaroos
But *NOT* really... in a Good way.... It doesn't evoke a sense of Nostalgia -- it evokes a sense of "the END...." A swan song of all of the greatest Jungle/beach tunes.... of the 90's/2000's but *not* in a Fond way.... It's just *LITERALLY* a Swan song.... saying *GOODBYE...* to the WONDERFUL past that it was portraying/Referencing.... and it's just.... Sad. I want this to be *Remixed,* to be more Upbeat, and *lighthearted...* and Moar composed... Like the Original... was. :)
I love the loop still, but this is a really dope remix. I was humming the original theme all day so I thought I would check out what the remastered one was. They did it right.
This game’s OST is no joke one of my favorites ever. It’s amazing. I love Disney so I’m a bit biased but this is way better than anything you’ll hear in any of the movies. This song is one of the best too. It gives me Tarzan, Jungle Book, and Rainforest District vibes.
My God, this whole soundtrack makes me want to dance ... even though I suck at dancing. Seriously, this song is so good, as good as the moon theme in my opinion.
The 1990 Game Boy version of this soundtrack started me out wanting to make music as a kid, and I just found out this existed and I feel like I’m going to implode from joy. WHAT. Absolutely incredible.
My personal favorite of the new arranged themes. You can tell Jake put a lot of time and effort into the other songs (other being besides The Moon theme) and expanded on their themes so much more. While his new Moon theme isn't half bad, I felt like it didn't deviate too much from the original, and because of that, it seems like it was a ho-hum remix. All the other themes, when compared to their 8-bit counterparts, have so much more in them, and feel like a composition that took a basic theme and added everything that was originally missing. I guess I just appreciate the tracks that have more heart put into them, rather than adding a dash of newness. I dunno, I know what I'm trying to say, but I can't figure out how to say it. Point is, out of all the major themes, the Moon is at the bottom (although it's still a fantastic track). I just wish he gave that song the same amount of love and care as the rest. Seriously, listen to the 8-bit version of this, and then listen to the remastered version. It's practically a new song.
I agree. DuckTales was the very first game I ever completed and the Amazon theme was the main song that I always looked back fondly on when thinking about the game years later. I love what was done with it here also. I always thought it was weird at first how obsessed people were with the Moon theme.
I had an urge to listen to this tune, and so I quickly searched for it. The moment I started listening to it, I legit started dancing in my room like a child with such a big grin, while also making me relive a blast from the past. The Moon and this theme have been my favorite ones since I played the original game ages ago, and the remasters they got are top notch.
As somebody who hasn't played either version of this game or even seen the show (reboot or original) and hasn't even read any of the comics, (as of this comment) you better believe me when I say that this is one of the best video game soundtracks I've ever heard.
Scrooge: Ahh, another day of being rich *Launchpad bursts in* Scrooge: Launchpad, what in blazes are ya doin' busting in me office like that? Launchpad: Sorry Mr. Mc D, but you HAVE to listen to this! *Launchpad plays this song* Scrooge: ... Launchpad: You ok, Mr. Mc D? Scrooge: *On the phone with Capcom* Yes, I would like to be in Ducktales 3, Street Fighter, Mega Man 11, and whatever else you can give meh! *The boys come in* The boys: What's dat sound, Unca Scwooge? Scrooge: That boys, is the sound of bliss!
+Aysha Wattellier I think it uses too many electronic noises for that to work, DKC usually uses instruments that fit the level, so if you were in a jungle DKC would use more natural sounding instruments.
I just love Ducktales Remastered :) . This is one of my favorite levels and Moon and i love this music theme :) . This game reminds me of Donkey Kong Country Returns with the same gameplay, graphics and music :)
I thought the original was okay, but this remix is amazing. It got the best remastering by far. The new instruments, the little added sections of music, it's incredible. Transylvania is still my fav, but this is the one that got improved the most. Unlike the Himilayas, which the composer had so little passion for, he just added the Moon music to it.
Easily my favorite theme in the game. So much reminds me of the playful/joyful and gorgeous music in the Japanese version of Sonic CD - Palmtree Panic. Only this is far better, in my opinion. Palmtree Panic (Good Future): Sonic CD (JP/EU) Music: Palmtree Panic Zone (Good Future)
I actually expected not to like this one for some odd reason, but this is awesome. Love the hook, makes me wax nostalgic for some odd reason considering I never played the NES version.
The original soundtrack to the NES game DuckTales is easily considered one of the best game soundtracks ever made for that platform; some musicians even put it at number one. On Gameboy, it has about the same status and is considered a true masterpiece, considering how limited the musical capabilities of these two platforms really are. And these remasters really let the music behind it shine.
Well, if you want to get really precise, Capcom contacted and partnered with WayForward to create it. Also to be even more precise, this gentleman did say that Nintendo and Capcom are the best at remastering 8-bit classics, he didn't claim that either actually did this (though it was implied). In the end, he simply stated his opinion, which happens to be mine as well.
I was going to correct the guy giving credit to Cashcom for this, but saw many others beat me to it. Jake Kauffman is amazing, and it's wonderful to see so much support for him from the community.
People can have opinions. And yes, the Amazon theme may be catchier than the Moon theme to me as well. Has more of a beat to it, while the moon theme is sort of just focusing on the beat a little less. I still love both of them like hell though
