We have been on the look out for a Bluetooth receiver for our car for a while, and had half an eye on the Echo Auto for a while also.
The latest Amazon Prime Day gave us an opportunity to get the device a little cheaper (£45) so we took the plunge and got one!!
In this video we unbox, setup and review the Echo Auto, including a test drive to test it out in real-life!

This is perhaps the best and comprehensive video I had seen and very useful. I have a Ford Figo (Indian spec) and this video really helped me to do the setup right from unpacking. Much appreciated brother, keep it up..! 🍺🍺

As long as you have an Aux in port in your car you should be good. What issues you having?

Does the microphone work well for phone calls while driving? My current setup, calls sound like I'm too far away from mic. Great video!

how's the microphone? can it pick up ur commands when it's hidden inside the glove box with music playing (not ear piercing volume)

Have you tried to use it with a second phone? I had a great experience with my phone but when my husband tried to connect his, it just would t work. Lovely video 👌

What is the difference between using Echo Auto and just using Alexa on your cellphone?

The main benefit are the microphones! Great pickup on them when on calls, but also using Alexa on!

Thanks for the video. Does it work with maps - can you see the map, get directions and play music simultaneously?

Hello! It does! If you have your phone on display on your dash and ask it for directions it will bring maps up on your phone. If you have music playing that will also continue. I'll make sure we cover this in an upcoming video as a follow up. Let me know if you have more questions 👍

Hi Martin!! Yes really good! Ours is still going strong with daily use. Had no problems, and brings new tech into our older car!! We will be doing a follow up video soon, anything you would like covering, or think should be covered we might have missed first time round?

It was a tongue in cheek comment, as its a 1.25 litre engine that sounds nothing like a high performance vehicle.

think you supposed to set these up with mobile data otherwise it wont work on the move in the car

Hi there!!! It doesn't matter what network type you set it up on. As long as your phone has Internet connectivity it will work. The only issue I find is when I drive away from my house and leave my WiFi network and transfer to mobile data there is a drop in connectivity. But, that would be expected 👍🏻

@@husondiy well as long as it works that what matters and yeah when it switches to mobile data course, it depends on phone signal and then back to WiFi when you get home
