Perhaps you could do a video series on the transformers? (That undoubtedly has a LOT of knowledge for the institute to take adva... Ahem I mean investigate and catalog for the betterment of the Templin institute) I mean it would fit in the Sci-fi spectrum
@@embasorangiratina36 Deserts can surprisingly be part of a complex global ecosystem. The Sahara Desert actually fertilizes the Amazon Rainforest via sand blown across the ocean, ironically.
@@embasorangiratina36 Not only would this cause the extinction of thousands of species, it would disrupt the global biosphere causing untold effects, destroying the systems of balance of ecosystems across the planet. There's a reason you cant just cut down the Amazon or drain the Mediterranean. So much for restoring the natural order huh?
They sound like their living out their own elvish fanfiction by genetically engineering ecosystems into their perception of Balance and then saying "See? We're one with nature!"
Templin Institute: Well damn we’ve got nothing lined up for almost 2 months, what are we gonna talk about? Age of Wonders Planetfall : It’s free real estate :)
"Perfectly balanced as all things should be" Larissa was Thanos all along confirmed ! In all seriousness this was a great vid, i'm looking forward to buying the game myself soon.
It would be funny if they split into several factions among several biomes and started an arms race against each other to terraform the galaxy into their own biome. In addition to the rainforest Amazons, their would be deciduous and boreal Amazons who tried to let their fauna and flora flourish, desert Amazons who dried out planets to let their tougher counterparts survive and ocean Amazons who flooded entire planets to let coral reefs and fish thrive. None of them would be any more right than the other and it would be more realistic.
Good idea, but would require much highlighting the Amazons in regard to the others. How about... They'd make DLCs with sub-faction options. I'd easily pay 10/20 €/$ for each of them.
Specialists and Sub-Factions. Independent groups specific to biomes of the selected world. It can be done. It's definitely an interesting idea for Planetfall 2; it would have to be play-tested, though, to see whether it would be FUN.
The receipe: 1x tea spoon from Warhammer Fantasy - Lizardmen units and mounts 1x table spoon from Warhammer Fantasy - Woodelves ideology 1x table spoon from Surpeme Commander - the Aeon, religious fanatics trying to bring balance 2x table spoons from Greek mythology - name and society Mix well but carefully, add seasoning according to taste and serve with new graphics and gameplay. Jokes aside, I like the idea in general, although maybe a bit too on-the-nose.
Dr. Evil had an instant orgasm spotting that T-rex with lasers on its head, no doubt. Also, there's just something deeply satisfying about sicking a T-rex on your enemies. Only bad thing about it is that it doesn't actually have an attack where it just chomps down on a foe. I mean the stuff it does have really does the job well, but still.
I wonder if you'll do the actual Amazons from Wonder Woman next. Anyway here are some suggestions for future episodes: - Earth Federation and Principality of Zeon - Gundam - Sanc Kingdom - Gundam Wing - Kree Empire - MCU - The Superman Regime - Injustice - Public Security Section 9 - Ghost in the Shell - United Republic of Nations - Avatar: The Legend of Korra Dossier: - Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers - MCU - Rey of Jakku - Star Wars - Buffy Summers - Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Avatar Korra - Avatar: The Legend of Korra - Ryuko Matoi and Satsuki Kiryun - Kill la Kill - Kara "Starbuck" Thrace - Battlestar Galactica Atlas: - Themyscira - Wonder Woman - Beach City - Steven Universe - Sunnydale - Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Honnoji Academy - Kill la Kill - Hyrule - Legend of Zelda - Storybrooke - Once upon a Time HiCom: - The First Zeon War - Gundam - The Infinity War - MCU - Endgame: Thanos's Last Stand - MCU - The Millennium War - Hellsing - The Kaiju War - Pacific Rim - The Drakkon War - Power Rangers: Shattered Grid
Love how they pulled on both the greek myth and the real ones (named after the myth) that obliterated a conquistador expedition and gave the Amazon River it's name. Still feel like more could've been done; give 'em a protectorate complex or something where they need to preserve biodiversity or they start to die out from their own genetic similarity. Or just straight-up acknowledge that they are only female by definition (if it makes the thing that grows into a new member of it's species it is female) and pull on the Astartes from 40k. I feel like that could be fun.
I have a few suggestions for future videos: The Candy Kingdom (Adventure Time) Outworld (Mortal Kombat) Nazi Germany (Wolfenstein) Skynet (Terminator) The Gem Empire (Steven Universe)
I do like the Amazons. Highly mobile and some broken combos. Have a biomancer use Scan:Catalogue on the most common enemy unit than have Huntresses with Acid mod really bring the hurt
They can be fun to play but I hate how lacking they are when it comes to overwatch. Overwatch is the action that let's a unit watch the area in front of them and shoot at anything that moves. Amazons and their bows don't have overwatch making it harder to defend as them. They can stagger and blind people though which makes up for it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't guerrilla warfare a very drawn out, inefficient method of fighting? If so, why would a people who pride themselves on military efficiency when necessary use that instead of going straight for the kill?
Interesting video, but you didn't mention the name of the Amazon's planet. Also, could you please do videos about Section 31 and the Impossible Missions Force?
The natural order should be restored, *at all costs* Now please wait whilst I mind control wildlife, modify its very genome, and disrupt the ecological order of the planet I just landed on by putting forests where deserts could be found.
"extensive" research into the amazon faction has led me to the conclusion that they are simply, no longer human. What do I mean by this? First of all, they can no longer reproduce with baseline humanity. They are all "female" however if that is the case that label no longer has a meaning. Also the phrase "matriarchy" has no meaning in a an all "female" race. More accurately they are ruled exclusively by their own species, which is single gendered. Some simple theories on how reproduction occurs in amazon society: Most likely: they are clones, identical genetic copies of a single, or small group of once-human female templates. They likely have no sexual reproduction at all. Less likely: They are akin to trees and plants and have a self-fertilizing reproductive system. Seasonally producing sperm and eggs in their own bodies and finally giving birth at select times. If this is the case it is likely that mothers do not *actually* give birth, but rather transfer their zygotes into accelerated growth chambers to prevent loss of efficiency. A praise: Amazons seem to have established the best model in existence for terraforming worlds to be suitable for any population in existence, while their technology may currently be used exclusively to better their own species, as it should, their technology could absolutely be used to accomplish the same effect for any other species. If attaining control of a region of space and actively working to develop the perfect environment for each species under their care, it is certain that all species would thrive. A criticism: The choice of utilizing an exclusively female model, assuming it is actually "female" (Note here, in my opinion, they are absolutely NOT female in any way but superficial) is highly questionable even from a genetic alteration standpoint. In behaviorally advanced creatures there is a good reason for the male-female dimorphism. Complex organisms with complex behavioral patterns utilize specialized genetic models for different species advancing tasks. More than just physical, mental specialization is a large part of this trend. For example, it is clear that a lack of male pattern mental activity is affecting the amazons. This does have the debatable positive affects of reducing aggression (though, that has yet to be proven beyond bias statements) the losses of simply removing the male hormonal and psychological additives leads to a potentially worrying outcome. The amazons MAY be the perfect evolutionary successors to humanity, or they MAY be anxious, isolationist, and coldly calculating, exterminating perceived "intrusions" to their "perfect society" rather than organically adapting to ever changing circumstances, something that the Male pattern brain is designed for via increased potential in spacial rotational memory and motor skills, isolated individual activity, and "conquest" aggression towards hostile environmental factors as opposed to "extermination" aggression. Evolutionary, let us hope for the amazons that nothing adapts to specifically eradicate their perfect ecosystem. However in the game of survival, they have performed marvelously.
@@sangralknight3031 You must've have been drunk and/or high when you came up with this gem. Only a person connected to a higher plane of existence could've come up with this.
I would consider this better harmony with nature and less overtly destructive (unless they replace natural ecosystems because they don't have enough green, like deserts and tundras)but it isn't natural or "perfectly" balanced.
Dear Templin, I know that Age of Wonders got out recently and that Paradox is a great sponsor, however I would like to see content on other universes as AoW:P content, as great as it may be, gets a bit redundant everyweek. If it is by a lack of content, I would suggest the GDI and the Scrins from the C&C universe.
The comments here are about 20% other, 10% about Thanos, and the other 70% are about the fact that this race isn't as good as they're presented (because they aren't).
