Fort Hall which guarded Philadelphia was besieged after the fall of the capitol along with fort McHenry in 1798 both forts held out impressively until the states were liberated and after all that bombardment their flag was still there. Thomas Rutlige who was releasing a friend from capture by the fleet said "The awe and spectacular scene of rockets and fireworks of any king used on the planet were focused in that one pillbox impressively and surprisingly resisting capture and as the red glare of dawn followed the awesome sight of the flag still standing in the middle of the destruction around it" Francis Scott key would use this as inspiration for his poem the Star Spangled banner

I had Spain buy a territory out from under me as well. I declared war on the Iroquois and was ready to take everything on the next turn but the Spanish bought niagara before I could attack it. Screwed me up too because Britain supported the iroquois and declared war as well. I had planned to move from niagara to take Montreal immediately after. So much for that...

General Washington would stubbornly continue his battles in Maryland and Pennsylvania until he retired when victory was in sight and died at mt vernon which used to be the headquarters of one of the Spanish generals in Virginia

Upon hearing the capital has been burn outrage was spread across the colonies one soldier said that there will be no prisoners and that was true shortly after John Sullivan attack the Spanish garrison at Kentucky stating "Remember Philadelphia!" as their battle cry they took no prisoners many Spanish were skewered with bayonets mercilessly.

One survivor is enough to change a war. Just look at when we tried to take Quebec during the revolutionary war. A couple guys survived at Montreal and warned Quebec which caused them to be ready for us and we lost

Many invasions of the south proved futile with the use of the natural weather and landscapes bombardments of forts in southern port cities were ineffective many Spanish were killed but forts in New York weren't as same as the forts in Maryland and Pennsylvania the Spanish took the forts but not easily the garrison fought valiantly in the battle for long island and in the streets of NY but to no avail and not in vain

You see this is your problem you keep on putting your cannons behind a hill and complaining that they are not hitting anything I play the hell out of the game and cannons always have the most killed because you are supposed to put them on top of the hill but I guess I am play a good at doing Saturday A.k.a. A good strategies lol
