Back here in 2020 after watching this series when it first came out. Still holds up.

Late Winter Dec 1786 With The U.S. winning it's battle for independence they began to try to build a stable economy and trying to buy Florida from Spain. But Spain rejected offer after offer from the young Nation but the ended up losing Florida to the Cherokee Nation. With this turn of events unfolding for control of Florida. General John Sullivan marched his force of 1,806 U.S. Contential Soldier's to Florida to face off against the battered 927 native American warriors of the Cherokee Nation. The Battle for Florida lasted for about a half day before the Contential army gained control of Florida. During the battle General John Sullivan's reckless orders cost 1,141 U.S. Contential Soldier's to lose their lives during the bloody battle. All 927 native american warriors lay dead on the battlefield at the end of the battle

Hahaha, yeah, that battle for Florida was not my finest moment. I always seem to underestimate the Native American factions, but from here on out I'm planning on bringing the full might of the US Army to bear. No more militia!

Yes! They do indeed have hand-thrown grenades but their range is short and using them requires a lot of micro-managment. Most of the time I deploy grenadiers for their large size, higher morale and greater melee capability which really helps against Native American factions.

The only problem with that battle was that you brought very weak melee units to a siege battle, not that it could have been helped. In the end, you did win, so lessons are learned.

34:39 yankee doodle wasn't an american marching song until a few minutes after the american revolution. The British mocked the Americans with this song and George and co. thought it would be funny to play it.

I was wondering why in the first map you were recruiting militia in to your standing army. When you had line infantry, I hope you didn't think militia would hold the center? I do hope your strategies got better, I will keep watching to see. But good quality on the maps, and great fast forward on the AI movements.

you need to buy better soldiers like line infantry or try to get superior line cause minutemen and militia are basically soldiers fighting to die against regular infantry

you should have just layed sieged, starved them out for decrease in their numbers. It would destroy walls already. Allowed you more turns to reinforce your army. then on day of battle siege with more cannons for a good 30 min of the battle. really try to pick as many men off before you send in anything. Time is a resource use it!

Adv. they attack you get defend against an army that is mostly melee. Any hills will play largely to your adv.

You made a few mistakes the first one is you should have build some slopes as well as some fighting in order to protect your trade route the second mistake you should have build some roads that way it will make things a lot easier for trade and moving troops another mistake you should have built your University buildings faster and focus on too other than that the game plays good you made the right decision by not trading with Europeans because you would have definitely had some problems in the very beginning
