This is a pretty emotional song for him, he said so when I talked to him after one of the shows on the last tour. Also, the mic doesn't sound like it's good quality so that probably impacted the sound quality of Joel's voice.

no the vocals arent compressed and there is nothing wrong with his voice or the mic, this is just what really breathy screaming sounds like when your not in the studio and using a pop filter

Sorry but so far I am not impressed with Ahren's voice live one time he had just had a nasal trip to be fair enough but on studio he comes over as really powerful he it is a bit weak and it goes flat quite often :( I can hear that he can do it I can hear in his voice but he keeps going flat was he post op here as well ?

Why do they have that damn bass drum triggered to sound like the fucking whitechapel typewriter? He never plays above 180bpm theres no need for triggers at all. Ruins the whole thing to me.
