I still have a little 'high' from getting my 'conda just hours ago. I got a good few mil back from core mining and managed to fend off a 3v1 and go nose to nose against a T10. And I'm not even done yet.

You think the anaconda manoeuvres slowly? *Laughs in imperial cutter. The cutter is still my favourite ship to fly though, mostly because I have the equivalent thrust of several Saturn V’s under my left thumb.

I remember sitting in my car calculating exactly how much an anaconda with all the equipment I wanted would cost and how much more I needed to earn to buy it, then figuring out roughly how much longer I would have to sit in the black to earn that money. It was all worth it.

The class 4 hard point joke has me rolling

The first time I undocked my newly purchased D/C-rated bounty hunter Anaconda, disappointment was the furthest thing from my mind. Looking out over the bow from the bridge the first time makes you feel like a space captain.

'It can do everything' well, except for landing on outposts :P

Being roughly the same size as an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, is a comforting thought. Especially when I put out probably the same amount of hurt.

The only thing it can’t do is find a good planetary landing spot.

I still remember the first time i saw an anaconda in person. I was trying my hand in mining when a couple of player pirates started attacking some nearby miners. No later than 30 seconds and a system authority anaconda jumps in. i watched it fight as the other authority vessels flew around, picking off the pirates. it was slow but it was truly amazing. and its those amazing moments of emersion in a sci fi world that keep me coming back to Elite.

I eventually got myself a cutter and as beautiful as that ship is and as obscenely big it's shields are, there just is something about the conda that tells me that no matter what I want to do with it, it can be done and this feeling is what captivated me from the beginning. There is no missing spot, no missing shot, no wrong task. There IS a Jack-of-all-trades in Elite Dangerous and it is the Anaconda.

Everything about this video, yes. I’ve had my Anaconda for years and shaped it to be whatever I needed it to be, a traveler, a merchant, a bounty hunter, you name it, it did it. And to this day, she is my prized possession.

Thare is literally nothing anyone can say to make me not love this ship, my Rhapsody is the flag of my fleet and I love her.

OVERALL best ship in the game. Everything else is a specialist in one area or another, except exploration, where it's the king. Btw, seems you inadvertently picked up some garbage with your diamonds. Recommend jettisoning that shit. Near a star. It's the kindest thing, really. lol

The Anaconda has a timeless beauty. I have 3 of them: 1 for exploration (69LY jump range and used for DW2 to get to Beagle Point), 1 for Thargoids, and 1 for transport (Robigo) to make millions. Yep, they're not nimble but they're so versatile. o7 CMDR

I just got my Anaconda for the first time and it’s one of the greatest feelings I’ve had playing Elite Dangerous. Great video as always!

Very nice! I’m on hopefully the final leg of my journey to Beagle Point with the Distant Worlds 2 expedition. My Anaconda is named “Azhanti High Lightning” and she uses the same paint scheme as the one in this video. Except I haven’t been able to get a refresh on the paint since Explorer’s anchorage. And there’s about as much primer and bare metal showing as paint now from 20,000+ LY worth of interstellar dust bombardment. But otherwise she’s holding up nicely. And yeah. The range on this ship - particularly once you get an A-rated FSD with engineering mods and a Guardian FSD booster - is just phenomenal. I’m getting close to 60LY jump range. About 225 if using a Neutron Boost. Plus I can carry 2 SRVs and 2 SLF scout fighters. I’m also kitted our with repair and refuel limpets to assist other CMDRs out here if they need it. The Anaconda is basically the same as the Cobra Mk III, just on a larger scale. A ship that can do anything, go anywhere and haul anything. In 7 league boots with style!

Brilliant video my friend and the comment about disappointment when taking it out of the mailslot for the first time was spot-on for me. I hated the first one I bought in 2015 and didn't bother with it again for a couple of years. I absolutely love it now.

0:34 What's with that sentence "for moving things"??? :D It has the fourth largest cargo space... for moving things... that you want to transport... without leaving it behind... from where you left... by putting the things inside... the cargo hold... of your ship... for storage... of great capacity... which lets you displace... anything you want... or don't want... anywhere you want... or don't want... if it fits... inside the cargo hold... safely from the hostile space... outside your ship... from A to B... across space... to the destination... of the goods... that you have... onboard the ship... inside the cargo hold... designed for moving things... hotel... trivago.

Found these review videos today. Been watching them almost non-stop now. Your reviews of the ED ships, are quite possibly some, if not, THE best I've seen. Insane production value, brilliant pacing, easy to digest & theory around with a touch of comedy. You should be really proud of these videos, and I'll certainly be instantly clicking new ones! I got my conda and I lovingly named her Samhain. The wiccan Halloween. The time when its easiest to feel the spirits. Mine is a battleship. She packs her own turrets. Missile batteries. Fighters. And a main gun when she wants to be serious. Samhain has been a joy since day 1. I wasn't disappointed when I first took her out of diaguandri. I was excited for the future

That ending was just excellent. Anaconda is just like that. I built my ship empire with it and still I keep on going back to anaconda from my corvette and cutter and the smaller ships. When something needs to be done efficiently anaconda is very often the ship I fly out of the station.

He’s so right. The first time I flew the Anaconda out of the station, I thought to myself, “this thing is garbage!” But I didn’t understand the module upgrade process at the time. I just blindly charged to getting the ship. Now it’s one of my favorite ships and my go-to explorer.

Yeah, I remember switching from my Clipper to Anaconda and I could never go back. (even if I wanted) It does nothing badly, except for turn speed. I've traveled out to Colonia and back, with each trip taking like 3~4 hours. (You should check out Colonial Legionnaires they're an awesome squad and host squad events sometimes like SRV races.)

I love my conda so freaking much i t took me so much time to fully engineer everything take prismaticks and guardian modules . But now its finished it feels so rewarding you just feel safe in this ship , you can walk away or fight any battle comes your way!!

The Cobra Mk 3, the Python, and the Anaconda are the small, medium and large Do-Anything ships.

They are far too versatile and over powered at each roll. That's why I have 4 of them....

I bought my Anaconda on the 23. apr. 2019. . . I called it "Skywalker SR-2"

Staring out over the bough of The Jupiter at a neutron star, i gently let her out of supercruise, a beautiful place to leave her for the night. I think of all the ships in my fleet that got me here. From the tiny sidewinder we all started in, to the asp-explorer that first got me out the bubble, and the python that helped me take my first bounty. It has all lead up to this, The Jupiter. Usually only taking her out for exploring the galaxy or running rescues for the Fuel Rats as i fear risking her in combat. I ask myself if it was worth the time and effort. But as i hear the sound of my FSD charging, ready to blast me to another undiscovered system I think yes, it definitely was.

My anaconda "prometheus" has taken me to beagle point and back. Ive literally owned it for years. Love that ship and will never get rid of it.

I'm not much for combat, so I turned my Anaconda into a mobile research facility. I have limpets, AFMs, an SRV, a fighter hangar. I don't need a station. I am the station.

The Pilot is one of the best story tellers around. Voice, Soul and Heart are all present. I applaud his skills.

Best mining ship, Python. Best combat ship, Corvette/FDL/Vulture. Best exploration ship, Anaconda/ASP-explorer/D-explorer (looks like a cockroach so nobody flies it). Best looking and trading/smuggling ship, Cutter. Best Transport, Orca (rescue missions)/Beluga. Best thargoid killer, Anaconda but I enjoy the type-10. Also if it takes you 3 weeks to make enough money to buy anaconda then you doin it wrong. Buy ships from Li cause you'll save 15%. The faster you get to your desired ship the better because most of the time spent in this game is engineering. Many people burn out of playing this game either before or after they buy their dream ship. Once you fully engineer then its a whole new game.

I love my condo, I can use it for exploration, pve, cargo, mining. It's great. And I love the view of the bridge.

The Conda is THE multi-purpose ship, and damn she got long legs.

anaconda is why i bought the game after watching this video. 10-20 hours into the game i bought a cobra mk 3... and well my goal was to get the anaconda.. i did try out doing missions and mining and combat.. but realized that exploration is the safest and most reliable way to earn a looot of credits.. so in my cobra mk3 i begun my exploration journey and headed to the core while scanning every system i jumped to.. i arrived yesterday after having jumped ~1450 timed which took 130 hours.. i then sold all my data at the core which gave me over 300 million credits~~ and well i bought a hauler and self destructed to get back to the bubble.. as i had no plans on spending another 130 hours stretched out over 2 more years.. now i own the anaconda.. and am waiting for my cobra to be transferred from the core to the bubble which will take 64 hours. but at least i finally got the ship i wanted the most.. even though i now have to outfit as well... and i do not have enough left over for that.. but if this video is true it should not be too hard to get the missing 200 millions now that i got the ship itself

D'awwww, that's such a cute thought, Lonely Limpets... I had a few things I wanted to say, in regards to the points you raise in this video, but one comment you make stands out and in it's sentiment and delivery, I will agree with you and drop my arguments. Yes. This is the ship a lot of people aim for. This is the measure of a man, the metric by which the game is made. Across my Elite career, I've owned three. First one was lost in a mission I failed to nice was a Wing mission. Replaced with wallet balance. Second one was lost and not recovered due to said same, aforementioned wallet not being fat enough. Third one was sold to make financial room for a Federal Corvette... and though I love my 'vette for it's unbridled, brutal and barbaric brawn... I miss my conda... You never forget your first... whether it's a kiss, coitus or capitol ship... You never forget your first....

The way I see it, if you play for long enough, you will eventually be able to buy it.

I bought mine yesterday. Thankfully i had a grade 4 engieneered FSD in stock. Standing on the bridge for the first time and let it start, i felt: POWER! You realize that this is the only big ship you need when you got one. People who complaining about the turning ratio never flown a type 9 heavy....

Now that's a love letter.

I recently got my first Anaconda after coming back from Colonia for the first time, and the thing that I find most striking is.... it's REMARKABLY good at attitudinal adjustment - like it feels way more manoeverable than the Python when it comes to re-orienting where you're pointing the ship at. Its reverse thrust seems notably less impactful, but when it comes to pointing where you want it to point, I'm still stunned every time i fly it.

Not gonna lie: This video and your Fer-de-Lance review are what got me back into playing this. So thanks...I think haha

Thank you for selling me on my first (and probably only) Large ship; I just started this summer and you've made my decisions much less intimidating. While the Mamba will always be my favorite, I've been flying my Anaconda for less than a week and I already deeply appreciate it. I can literally load my Mamba's entire weapon loadout onto this thing and efficiently fly it out to engineers for tweaking, I can carry over 400 tons of cargo with ease and still shred NPC pirates, and the exploration build is almost taking care of itself. The Anaconda is superb; I can totally see why you called it the most overpowered ship in the game. I expect everything I want for it to run close to a billion credits and I don't even care, because of the amount of stuff it is enabling me to do in a single package. Seriously, this thing is crazy. Bought my Anaconda about twenty minutes ago. Stock-fitted, it's slow, it does indeed turn like a beached whale, it's everything the Chieftain I was flying in before was not. And I love it.
