honestly one of the best youtube channels right now for relaxed hair. everyone else is still talking about moisturizing and sealing but you are giving us new/more nuanced info. love it. Also, i know after one use if a product is good for my hair or not.

My dear, your tips are a true lifesaver. After conducting my own "audit", I finally tossed out those products that were a no go. They made my hair shed like crazy. Purchased some of the shampoos, conditioners you mentioned in earlier videos, and sure enough they worked for me especially that Infusium 23. You spoke the truth because the results were immediate. Hair never felt so soft and silky. My new regimen is a keeper, and I cannot thank you enough.

Another great video! I totally agree about using products that work for your hair. I see people forcing products to work on their hair. For example, I don't add things such as oils or food to products to make them work. They should work right out of the container. If I try something and it doesn't work, I move along. A good product should do what it says without having to mix it with something else.

Hey, gemruby41! I’ve heard of some ppl adding oils to their conditioners when they stretch, which I can understand, but I totally agree... The value of your products is in their strength and ability to stand alone without any editing or “seasoning”. 👍🏾

Great talk, Thank you for sharing this. That's so true I just did a video on setbacks and I did say stop using the wrong products a lot of people use the wrong products don't know what the hair type is or the porosity, women you need to find this out and you should know after using it for a few weeks even 30 days if it's not working do I continue to use the product. Thank you ever so kindly God bless you💕🙏

I agree, Sapphire. No sense in holding on to products if they have been proven not to serve our purpose. We don’t have the time - nor the hair - to waste! God bless you, too! ♥️

(Sighs) I was so excited when I finally purchased my Theorie products for my new hair regimen but unfortunately I don’t think my hair likes it. The first time I used the shampoo my hair felt somewhat stiff but after applying the conditioner she awakened back up. After styling it that same day I was in love with the results. I just recently had my second wash day with the same products and in addition added the Garnier Fruticse triple nutrition and again got pretty much the same feel after using the Theorie shampoo. Not only that my hair felt somewhat tacky (it’s the best way to describe it) throughout the styling process and did not yield good results afterwards 😢. This coming week will be my 3rd wash cycle and I’m praying for the best! I am in the restoring process with my hair. At the beginning of using these products my hair was somewhat moisture & protein balanced. However I did have terrible split ends. From mid section to the back is much stronger & healthier than from mid section to the front of my hair. My ends towards the front needs restoration. I’ve cut off about an inch (help me lord cuz I bought fainted lol) and still going in and doing a little dusting/trimming. I’m trying to be patient but I get so bummed out. I’m learning to take care and style my hair myself cuz these salon prices are through the roof and plus I haven’t found someone who’s as dedicated to the health of my hair and adhere to my hair goals. Your videos have been very helpful thank you! 🤗

I totally hear you and I’m sorry your hair is not liking Theorie products, but you’ve got to do what’s right for you and I’m confident you will find the right products out there that WILL work. 👍🏾 And I can totally relate to that feeling of “bummed out” and somewhat defeated during this whole thing. Starting a healthy hair journey has emotional ebbs and flows, but yields great rewards to those who do the work and can endure. So I say “BRAVO” to you and the work you’ve done thus far and I’m happy to hear my vids have been helpful along the way. 🤗♥️ #Letsgo

Another informative video. I introduced so many products to my hair and gosh my hair suffered. Now I found a great shampoo thanks Dolce, and I never stopped using my deep conditioner and So far its one month has passed without using direct heat(blow dryer and flatiron) I wash, deep condition with hooded dryer and roller set. I have two more months too go. This month I am trying flexy rods.
@DolceDawn
@DolceDawn 4 года назад
Ooh, I have flexi-rods - the really skinny ones. I want to get the larger ones, though. When you try them, let me know how you like them.

@@DolceDawn I’ve had them in my hair for the past two days since I washed my hair. I will take them out tomorrow because I have to go out. You have purchase a multi pack of flexi from Walgreens and they come in their own bag so it will stay neat.
@DolceDawn

I’ve never seen the multipack... only the individual sizes. Bought the skinny ones years ago when I first got serious about growing my hair longer. Now I just want the big ones. Thanks for the info!

I was using a hair clip to tie up my twists and it broke off in the middle now I’m scared to use bobby pins or any kind of clip
@DolceDawn
@DolceDawn 4 года назад
I’m sorry to hear that, Krissi. Bobby pins/hairpins should be OK to use as long as they have the rubber tips on the ends, though. Probably much safer than a clip.

Hi miss dulcie as you mention Foundation. For regimen does it mean that adding different brand eg this brand moisture that brand strengthening and so on.if. am making sense.
@DolceDawn
@DolceDawn 3 года назад
Hi, Elizabeth! When I refer to having a solid foundation, I simply mean finding products that work for you and consistently give you the best results possible. Whether it’s a brand that’s extra moisturizing or gives extra strength or a combo of the two - it doesn’t matter. As long as you hair loves it and responds well, you will have a strong foundation on which to build your regimen on. I hope that makes sense. Let me know. Thanks!

@@DolceDawn thanks miss dawn sometimes confusing.my hair cannot find a conditioner that it. Loves. Don't no if age is a factor .i love your advice tho.thanks and please explain serums.
@DolceDawn
@DolceDawn 3 года назад
@@kirabrown2757 It can be hard to find the perfect products for our hair, but they’re out there. It takes time. Serums are like glosses for the hair. Not only do they add high shine, but can also be used as a heat protectant and are lighter than traditional hair greases and pomades, so they’re less prone to weigh strands down.

Love love one thing my hair is low porosity Will these products work I am just starting doing my hair this month my hair is fine I am scared of my hair I always get it done professional but we move to New Mexico no one here do black hair help help 🥱🥱🥱
@DolceDawn
@DolceDawn 2 года назад
Hey, Michele! No need to be scared. All you need to remember is the 1-2-3’s of a simple regimen - shampoo, condition and moisturize - and you should be fine. If you have fine strands, I would stay away from products that are laden with oils as they may overwhelm your strands and weigh them down. Find shampoos/conditioners that are specifically made for fine or normal hair. Find a lightweight, but effective leave-in conditioner and if you use heat, make sure to have a good heat protectant. If you need any suggestions finding these products, I have a whole Building Your Regimen series on my home page that you may consider helpful. 😉👍🏾
