It was Buddha's inner wish , that He wanted to see damma has to be firmly take it's roots in his lifetime itself. A divine wish was frofusely and strongly established This is the only one e.g.in the whole univers the founder's wish was fulfilled.
The Idea of Religion is a Western construct. No indic "Religion" calls the other as False and does fearmongering of hellfire. Regardless of the Indic philosophy we abide by, we all understand dharmic and adharmic. Hence, instead of promoting ourselves for some religion, we should all (Buddhists, Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs ) come under one Dharmic Umbrella. I know it may sound superficial, but we're surrounded by superficial ideologies that aim to convert you and increase their numbers. I say this as a Hindu Brahmin for whom Buddha has been the biggest inspiration throughout his life.
There was no Buddhism at the time of Buddha. He was born as a Hindu .He had given his path which later on much after his death came to be known as Buddhism.
Buddha was born as hindu but he didn't die as hindu but as an enlightened being which does not belong to a particular caste or religion. Also buddha didn't give vedas the supreme authority which the vedic brahmanism has given. No god concept or don't pray to any god concept is against hinduism's belief. In The words karma, rebirth and Nirvana, in which the words are only the similarity but the approach of buddha to this concept is different from brahmanism i.e. hinduism. Buddhism's many ideologies are against Hinduism or have no connection to Hinduism. The path he found was unique and he was not the avatar of vishnu. Buddha being the avatar of vishnu was only founded in the later texts. This itself proves that Buddhism is a different religious movement. If you still say buddha was still hindu because he was born hindu, then it is like saying the mother of theism was atheism because before any belief system was founded atheism was the common religion of the mass.
Dominance of vedic Brahmanism before 600 BC?? How do you calculate this period?? As per ancient history, several groups of people came to ancient India from1700 BC ( or before) to Kushan period onward in several penitrations. All those people were mostly nomadic tent culture before Indus people because Indus people were more advanced than those nomadic people. From Indus period to Buddha a group of people created a vedic Brahmanism ???without any sanskrit scripts only on memorization of some slokas?? Is it believable?? In case of Buddha, he was not the first noble man for Buddhists tradition ,..before him there were several Buddha's as per Barhut Stupa. What ever it may be your presentation is prizeworthy and better than presentation of Buddha,s begging boul. Was there the very word ** veda** popularize during the days of Buddha?? Wheather it was ** tri vijja*( or not??). Was there the very word ** Brahmin** popularize during the days of Buddha or it should be ** Baman ** in lieu of brahmin???. Tipitak Mei ** Veda, Brahmin ** word hai ki nehi?? Indirectly you are promoting some class of people those who had no murti Kala, lok Kala only have/ had imaginary stories even Anuman vittik Darshan ( philosophy). Thanks I am awaiting your next one. Love from Bengal. There is no proof of vedic sect before Buddha as well as sanskrit.
Pls note that there was no Vedic religion at the time of buddha, rigvedas oldest manuscripts is no older than 1500 yrs, this is false propaganda created by historians that vedas are older than Buddhism and jaininsm
