Wow I have never heard anything more beautiful, more soulful, more captivating! It is like Apollo himself played this! Ancient and divine! Wow. Absolutely wow. I am so glad to find this video and channel
Я восхищена вашей музыкой и проникновенным голосом! Уверена, что Аполлон высоко оценил бы ваш талант! :) Спасибо вам за то, что привносите в этот мир эстетику и гармонию!
This world holds to nothing dear. ... Back when we had radios, you had to have talent to impress listeners. .. Now with TVs, image comes first. It is a shame where we are now... Someone with hands of such craftsmanship and skill should be recognised by the masses as their emissary of peace. I hope you continue your contributions and not deprive us of your talent and grace. With sincere love and respect to you, sir.
Because PART of the ancient peoples of the sea, the ancestors of the Hellenes, was of the Nordic type, even the Greek language is one of the Indo-European languages.
@ϟϟJosef Caballero del Castilloϟϟ As he says. The witcher 3 is like Ancient Greek music sounds, but Greece's version is more exotic, more Greek, AKA more olive oil as Olives are one of the symbols and root of Hellenism/Greece
Certainly! As my tracks are automatically copyright registered on RU-vid, all that happens if other creators use my music in their own videos, is that an automatic copyright notice is generated & ads are generated around these videos (from which I gain a few pennies in 'royalties'). Do keep me updated on your video!
Dear Master Michael Your Art is a Voyage in the Past time and the sound of Your music is fresh gentle true and filologyc! Thanks immensly for Your Work: Mother Heart Thanks You!!
In my daily struggle to make ends meet as an independent musician in the soulless 21st century CE (when I am frustratingly in possession of musical skills which certainly would have made me a legendary living as the 'Bruno Mars of the Bronze Age' the 21st century BCE!), your kind words are like a libation to the ancient wisdom of Athena! Maybe one day, some ever elusive, enlightened record company out there might also hear my music from your perspective...may almighty Apollo's will be done!!!
Michael Levy You’d be better off building your youtube channel. Record labels, predatory things these days, only look for one hit wonders to screw over financially and legally.
They should be featuring these kinds of masterpieces in the radio station here in the Philippines called 98.7 DZFE-The Master's Touch. These are rare gems I must say.
This is good homework/study music. I can just zone out and image some feral dirty past version of myself going ham dancing to this stuff in Ancient Greece
Le lyre et les tambourins, nous ont accompagnés sans prendre des textes des livres saints. Car, nous avons tous genre de public. Donc, la music a les mots. Que les Bénédictions de Pâques arrivent dans vos maisons a travers la music.
@@MichaelLevyMusic yes a few...not super quality but I'll try some parts with your music if I can....where to send to ? (may just be 20 sec snippets for example)
@@fabianpatrizio2865 - that would be REALLY appreciated! If you drop me a line on my website contact form, I will provide you with my email address to send the video file to me to (WeTransfer or Dropbox are the best means of emailing video files): www.ancientlyre.com/contact Many thanks!! :)
Glad you like my brief experiment at taking my totally untrained vocals out of the closet - although I did worry that the only thing 'haunting' about my singing, is that it might literally scare everyone away!! ;)
Is there any evidence for the practice of playing chords or of rapid glissandi of all the strings (e.g. tracks 2 and 3) or is this a case of imposing modern day ideas of music having harmony on ancient music?
Check out the detailed arguments in my blog about the 'urban myth' of the monotony of monophony in ancient music and judge for yourself: ancientlyre.com/the_urban_myth_of_the_monotony_of_monophony_in_the_ancient_world/
ATREIDESDUNCAN88 Very kind of you to consider this factor! Sales from CD Baby generate the best cut for me in album sales...but reviews of my albums on the more prominent digital music stores such as iTunes and Amazon, social media shares about my music or any new Internet blog about my musical mission to reintroduce the beautiful ancient lyres back into our bland modern musical world are even more invaluable, for as an independent artist without the benefit of a record company to promote my music, these are so far the best means I have of honestly promoting my music to the rest of the unsuspecting world! Thanks once more for your interest in my work...may you be blessed by the ancient wisdom of Apollo!
That depends on which track in this compilation of clips from the album you are referring to? The tracks are all in different selections of ancient Greek modes, with my lyre tuned in just intonation.
@@mrncproductions - feel free to use the snippet with credits! Please note - as all my tracks are registered with Rumblefish, you may receive an automated copyright notice. Nothing to worry about - there will simply be auto-generated ads which provide royalties for the use of my tracks. Hope this makes sense? Any issues, just let me know...
It is hand-made in modern Greece by Luthieros: en.luthieros.com/product/cithara-of-the-golden-age-ancient-greek-cithara-9-strings-top-quality-handcrafted-musical-instrument
phil newton - it's not a mic! The 'wire' thing you are seeing on the album cover, is tied to the replica ancient Greek carved bone plectrum (not a microphone!) - attached by a leather cord to the arms of the kithara; exactly as was the practice in ancient Greece.
I truly cannot wait to get back to Ithica and see my beloved Peneloppe. Oh. My loved Peneloppe. I will come back even if Poseidon kills me. I promise you that. I will return to Ithica my wife hear me..
