This song has taken on a life of its own. I can almost feel every Aussie watching this snigger in anticipation of you realising what the words are.

The crowd are singing "No Way Get Fucked, Fuck Off". A drunk screamed it out at one of their pub shows and it grew from that. Now all Australia sings those words. JUST READ HIS SHIRT.

Aussie here 🙋🏻‍♀️😂 this song was written for a friend that died in a car accident. If you go back and listen again you hear the ambulance siren in the riff. I didn’t know that until I watched another reaction and someone mentioned in comment section. Being played at Aussie pubs most likely in front of drunk crowd they mis interpreted the lyrics to a break up song and shouted that chant. When the band first heard it they thought it was directed at them and they were hated. When they realised that they mis interpreted the lyrics and what it meant they ran with it. 😂😂😂😂

I didnt want to ruin it by saying what the crowd response was, but it made me smile when you caught it and got into it. No one really knows where it started, but sydney nightclubs is the best guess. The band didnt hear it til 3 years after the song released. These days every aussie sings along... I've literally seen 80 year old grandmas at weddings yelling "no way, get fucked, fuck off!!!".. proudest aussie moment 😂

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Am_I_Ever_Gonna_See_Your_Face_Again Call and response Band: Am I ever gonna see your face again? Audience: No way! Get fucked! Fuck off! The famous response to the question posed in the chorus "Am I ever gonna see your face again?" is "No way, get fucked, fuck off".[7] The response was not developed by the band.[12][7] Neeson recalled that he first heard the response at Mount Isa in 1983 and was "a bit shocked."[13] Thinking it was a criticism of the band, he asked audience members about it. They responded that the chant had its origins at a blue light disco in Sydney where the DJ would turn down the volume to encourage the audience response Although it is a famous audience chant in Australian rock music history, the exact origins of it are lost.[14] In May 2014 Rick Brewster opined, "I don't think it will ever be solved because too many people put their hand up and said 'I started it' and we don't believe any of it. We just think it's funny, it's the bush telegraph really. The whole country was doing it and then we found when we went overseas the people in America were doing it too."[13] Neeson noted that "it's become the audience's song, it doesn't belong to the band anymore".[10] The song and its response have become an iconic part of Australian culture, such that the song may be played by any band anywhere in Australia with the chant sung by whatever crowds are present.
