@@Blazo_Djurovic the British ambitions on the continent ended with the hundred years war, after witch they lost all mainland Europe territory and instead started trying to colonise the Americas ane getting colony's, the main thing keeping the Germans in check was the ottomans and the French who fought wars with the hre untill the hre collapsed after witch prussia would dominate it's neighbours and form the German Reich and was then again checked during the first world war, but here in their game the Prussians decided to not partner with the Austrian-hungarians like they did in real life, but to annex them instead.

@@rafaelschwertner5353 yeah, but the difference there was they saw the war being napoleon and the revolutions fault, not France itself. It didn't make sense to punish a country when they were ruled by someone who they viewed as illegitimate.

@@neilangelomolleda7283 after german unfication any german minor gets an event to join Germany and they accept, in this case Austria was a german minor and they got the event after being released.

Dependes on what you count as winning. By land count, yes. But his Military and Prestige scores have severely tanked, as well has his industry not being nearly high enough for someone of his size. He's 6th rank GP, when a Grossdetuchland should probably be number 1.He's that low because the land he has is basically scorched earth after all the wars .

Getting all of Austria Hungary is always big for anyone playing Germany due to the many pops, resources, and industry. I honestly don't know how he was able to completely conquer them in one war, but I assume it has something to do with the mod since you can only full annex countries that are either uncivilized or have only one state.

Losing the great war is BAD. it means paying a huge chunk of your money to the winners for 5-10 years, losing half your army, losing half of the remaining half (because dismantled) and not being able to raise more armies. Additionally, any colonies he had are gone. So, yeah, he basically became Nazi Germany: a very powerful nation that's only method of influence is the continent.

And millions of his people will revolt for years. So, demographic catastrophe is also a pretty bad part of it.

They made a mistake in choosing to "re-form" the Austrian Empire. However, Swimmy already activate the event decision in which Germany get cores for all the Austrian Empire provinces. As such, the game only give the Austrian Empire enough land to re-form, since it considers all the other remaning lands to be core German lands and leave it to Germany (i.e. Swimmy). In hindsight, it would been better for them to take Austrian lands than freed it as a vassal.
