When dueling with a sword, blocking is considered a move for But of course, it's perfectly ok for them to ram docked newbies. Me and my friend just started SoT a few days ago so we aren't too good at PVP yet. A galleon of reapers chased us and took our flag, which was fair enough. Just two noobs in a sloop flying the gold hoarders flag, didn't know lvl5 reapers could hop servers yet. But they were so toxic about it! Then they followed us after our ship respawned and were less than polite on voice chat. Found your videos today and you've been a great inspiration for being kind and learning from my mistakes, even during PVP. Thank you much!

There was this one time we sunk a galleon, and one Chinese dude decided to come back to sink us. The dude was super toxic but his voice was so funny that I was laughing the whole time he was swearing. Best time I ever had on SOT

I love SOT but it drives me crazy when some players just sail around looking to harass players while we're just trying to complete voyages and tall tales. I play solo a lot and just try to avoid conflict with other players and also try to help them out when I can.

Dear Phuzzy, I have only been playing the game for around 3 weeks [about 2 weeks before the new season one pass], where I feel that playing the game of rust prepared me mentally for the kind of game/players you come across, however nothing could have prepared me better for the seas than watching your videos and tips. Today, I sank 3 [2 man] brigantines solo and was also told by a player [that i was defending - of the same playing time it turns out] that I was a really good player - where I could only recommend your channels. From Cymru to Jordan - Diolch yn fawr brawd / Thank you very much brother. From how to shoot/aim, to the little knowledge bombs littered throughout your content which provides so much wisdom, I felt the need to just reach out and say thank you for sharing! *Be aware of your surroundings *Keep them distracted *Utilise your opponents resources and weaknesses *Anyone who plays a shanty is a crew mate to me [irl musician and writer of pirate music]. Keep up the amazing work as it really does help!

It makes me sad that some pirates just like to ruin the fun for new players and thus discouraging them from playing the game. It makes me angry as well because part of the pirate code is to not attack new players

Getting sunk the other day with a lot of loot was a wake up call for me. So I started engaging in pirate battles more often. Some I lose, some I still win. It’s like Blisk’s saying, “You kill them, you’re better. They kill you, they’re better.” So it was nice of you to help the new player and pissing the other pirates off. Lmao

It's so nice of you educating/coaching new players and gifting them stuff. I remember I used to do that in old H1Z1 survival haha. Anyways, always appreciate the good content!

Oh man, i really wish we'd meet friendly pirates for once. Just once. The only thing we've seen so far are people with what feels like 5000 hrs+ of experience in the game. We never even sunk a ship yet, as we never were the agressors. We even met a galleon with 7 people on it. Sunk us within seconds somehow. There wasn't even a keg involved. But the funny thing is that i easily boarded them, dropped their anchor and used the ashen winds skull for some fireworks. Caught them totally by surprise as they didn't even know that thing exists, which was the most hilarious thing i've ever experienced in this game so far. We managed to decimate like half of them. 2 vs 7. Still called us noobs, lol. It's beyond frustrating, so it's really refreshing to see people like you being completely different.

Reminds me of when I encountered this Default galleon of Reapers. I thought they were newbies at first but seeing them in reapers clothing said otherwise. They made a beeline straight towards me and I know my skills. I can't handle a galleon alone so I just sailed towards a storm instead. They followed me which is admirable but I know from first hand experience what a nightmare sailing in a storm is in the Wilds so I'd figured they'd try not to board me. I heard cannon shots so I thought they were firing at me but nope. They were trying to board me, in a storm, as a galleon crew. Didn't go well for them. Their ship crashed into every rock you could think of. I could hear them swearing at me whenever they flew by in chinese (I think?) And I just laughed it off. You're not Captain Jack Sparrow Mate. Savy?

Not in regards of salty sailors in the Sea of Thieves, my crew and I usually find that 90% of our encounter with Brigantine were PVP crew for some reason, with Galleons being 50% of our encounter being PVP crew, and 10% of sloops being PVP crew. Not sure if thats the same for everyone else who plays SOT but thats always been the case for me. In fact, its to the point we almost never give warnings and prepare to fight, tho we still hold our fire until fired upon on the 10% chance they were chill. Note these arent salty brigantine encounter, just brigantine looking for a fight.

Well, you could say he truly embraced being a pirate. I can't imagine the real sea dogs were too well spoken :) You showed them their place though Phuzzy, respec.

My best friend and I were being hunted by a brig. We lured this brig into another sloop and then sank both of them. That's the short and sweet, the long version goes like this: For almost an hour this brig was chasing us, we had just spawned in so didn't have many cannon balls. They taunted us and on the boat of the damned I told one of the brig players to leave us alone or we will sink them(this was just after they had engaged the sloop) after the sloop was sank by us(brig was running away after taking a spanking from 2 sloops) we sank the brig with only 20 cannon balls and 5 firebombs. Great feeling. Then sometimw later while looting a sunken ship the brig had snuck up on us and sank us, we had a mega keg in our crows nest and they must've hit that by accident because they also sank, the worst part is we didn't hear the boat explode. Only the sinking sound when it was too late.

Just really started getting into sea of thieves. It’s such a fun game and even though I’m horrified of the ocean irl and the Meg and kraken scare the hell out of me I’ve been trying my best to solo sloop! Looking up tips I ran into your channel and it’s been a big help and after watching this vid I had to sub and now I wanna keep on watching those adventures of yours on the sea of thieves!

Just yesterday me and my buddy sunk a galeon with two Reaper's Chests that was finishing Ashen Winds. We won fair and square. Then they chased us for over an hour around Reaper's Hideout. Then another brig came and they teamed up to sink us. "Let's sink the little f... " was called. We killed them many times and stopped them with no sails. Eventually we left for other outpost. But namecalling and flaming was bad on their side. Hope we meet someday in game :)

Nice vid.... I tried saving a crew that got attacked while they were doing the Ashen Wind event last time i was on. I was doing a Tall Tale at the time and happened to need to go on the Island where the Ashen Wind event was. I went on the Island by myself and spoke to them and they agreed to let me and my buddy do our thing while they did the event. Some other ship came with hostile intentions so we first tried to warn the other crew and then went on our boat to start fighting the other ship. We managed to sink the other boat but not before they did enough damage to our new friends. In the end our buddies sank to the Ashen boss because it was attacking their ship while they were trying to repair the damage done by the hostile ship. My friend and i managed to finish the Ashen boss and the other crew came back. We gave them all the treasure and finished our Tall Tale lol. Still, all i wanna say is i know how you felt when you tried to save that new player but didn't quite manage to do it.

Keep it up man i wish i met players as nice as you i’ve been playing for a month and a bit and i’ve never met a friendly face. There’s always a toxic crewmate, super good toxic man who just sinks me and spawn kills me, the guy who i kill after about 16 tries usually says some terrible things too. And this is one day in the life of me ( a bad player )

I don't know why so many pirates' first goto is fire bombs because it's more of a nuisance to experienced pirates than a deterrent. On top of that, if you board, you have to deal with it yourself.
