Everytime I encounter those kind of players I feel bad for any new players who encountered them before me. It can be so nerve wracking even trying to talk to them in a calm and polite way after they called you trash and so on. Especially if you were doing some tall tales and only minding your own business. If I am ever lucky enough to meet you in the sea of thieves I want to play a shanty with you and give you my loot to say thank you. SO much great content for new players and also more experienced ones.

You can always tell when the extra salty players are shook, as Jackie says, they never shut up to let you speak! Thankfully, I've only had a handful of toxic players like this since launch. Some people take these pixels far too serious sometimes. Much love.

It's good to see toxic/hacking users sent to the bottom of the sea. I'd call them players but they don't play the game. These people never listen and never learn. Only an action works against them i.e ban. Well done Phuzzy.

It feels good watching you clean up the trash. During encounters with toxic players it is sometimes to hard to continue playing. (Especially if they have something to really focus their bullying on e.g gender or ethnicity) Your videos like this motivate us to keep going. GG Phuzzy!

Unfortunately i've been running into people like this a lot more lately, somehow always know where you are, shots never miss, snipes that always hit at amazing distances. Seems at least once a day you run into someone that never misses.

I once told a noob I've never died to a player and challenged him to a sword fight(so that I could get the pink flame) he was pretty stoked though😂

Stuff, like this happens to my deaf friend all the time she meets a lot of hackers and PC sweats that are super toxic and racist. she’s new but still gives them a good fight, her kindness always triggers them they even go as far as messaging on xbox and mocking her for being deaf. these are the kind of people that are so trash in real life, they’ve to coop by trying to make others feel like trash but when they’re not skilled enough to do so they hack. I feel bad that her experience has been nonstop toxicity and hackers, but she still became pirate legend in just 20 days time and 50 in reapers for her final company ggs and god bless those who don’t pull this crap you’re an amazing person!

Killing toxic hackers has got to be the most fun you can have in a game. When you beat them and the server sees you beat a hacker without cheating you gain so much notoriety and the hacker usually rages so much he physically breaks something; either slam his keyboard or punching his monitor.

I played with a guy the other day with a attitude much like yours. The positive demeanor only helps as a team. You communicate much better in situations because there is no much wasted breath. I can't even play with a toxic person anymore because it's annoying and I am to busy trying to bark orders over a loud mouth. It's much more relaxing with a calm headed person

I know this video is like 5 months old, but this one made me sub. You and Jackie have the best attitude in a PvX game I've seen in years, and I would feel safe on a server roamed by the two of you, not because I don't expect a fight (And most likely a loss, as I just started 4 days ago) but because I know you'll both be there to take out the trash, all without ever dropping to their level. Sometimes I wonder how can cheaters and scammers in games or real life act like this and think they are funny or cool but its just....no dont do that. It's extremely embarrassing to watch or listen.

gosh... im such an old salt of a player when the game first came out. I swear I had been duped one or two times with people who I assumed were cheating but some of my friends were convinced that it wasn't and these people were just try hards. To see that a professional streaming in a real game had to deal with people using third party software to have a good time playing a video game makes me feel a lot better about the couple times I honestly think someone was cheating. Thanks Phuzzy and Jackie! can anyone reply and let me know if they have experienced cheaters also? I thought it was just me and had to convince myself that no one would do that in sea of thieves but its as if they didn't even want to play the game if they are letting another program play it for them. How often have people come across cheaters? is it a 1% chance or higher? Its a little disheartening because I haven't played in months because the last time I played was being chased by a crew that I thought was cheating for 5+ hours. it was a terrible play sesh and I was so convinced they were cheating and my crew and friends that i know in real life tried to suggest otherwise but this just proves it to me that more people are cheating in the sea of thieves. Why even play then? Im still a bit upset about what happened to me last.. like I said I have only logged in, havent even set sail off the dock cuz every time I play or think about playing after I had this terrible experience I have lost a lot of love and spirit for the game and almost immediately log out cuz Im concerned it would happen again. Literally had a play session about 4 months ago into the last season and this happened to me and it got to a point where I feel like its not gunna be fun anymore if more and more people are cheating. Uhg... Either way, thanks Phuzzy and Jackie... seeing you guys fight them, beat them, or even just deal with them like I had in my experience does make me feel a bit better.. just wish people would play a game to have fun, and also know that you can have fun losing too. There is no need to get aggressive, stressed, and hurt someone mentally physically or spiritually with your actions or words over something that it meant to give someone recreational enjoyment.

It's one thing to do a bit of trash talking and in the end going GG and moving on (its a PVP game, its to be expected), but JFC. I got pretty salty against a galleon when a friend and I were slooping it up, and said some NSFW things (not on this level, obvi), but after we sank and chatted for a bit, it was GG, songs played, and off to another adventure. Those are the kind of guys that will burn through all the content in a video game in a matter of days and then complain there's nothing for them to do.

Had a duo on a sloop call my friend and I losers in a screechy voice just a minute before we fucking sunk them (our first spawn was on a desert island, so no skins on the ship. They might have assumed we were total noobs)… my friend called him a loser as we sailed away with the little they had (a few harpoons, that’s it). Don’t be assholes, you only end up losing.

Thats the best ive got, especially after repetitive line crossing and hearing them self assure themselves over and over. I guess id use that line and call it quits, to a new server. You have incredible perseverance, i salute your efforts.

People like this genuinely ruin my gaming experience. Just for some background, I'm trans. My voice sounds kinda feminine, so I know I'll be mocked for "being a girl" or some shit in game like that and it makes me so uncomfortable as i identify as a male. If I knew people were nice I'd be open to tell people that, and be able to vc with my friends whilst gaming. But those kinds of people make me so insecure it makes me so uncomfortable

The fact that they need both alt accounts and cheats tells you that those people irl have nothing going on in their already tiny, insignificant lives, and that they need to get easy wins with no effort put in at all, just to lift the ego. Truly they are a sad bunch, and I'm glad you and your crew go out of your way to put them in their rightful place (at the bottom of the ocean).

Realizing those accounts were alts made me think-do they lvl them themselves? Some of their cosmetics aren't basic, so I guess they'd have to buy those accs, or they weren't reported until now, which is unlikely. So I googled it, people actually sell SoT accs. Even more than that, people sell boosting in SoT, specifically on Arena, and grinding the gold curse. In a game with purely cosmetic progression. Why???

If I have leant anything in this life so far, it's that those who resort to violence, aggression and insults as an instant response are not worth any sort acknowledgment, respect or attention. They should be left alone in hope they may gain some self-awareness as to why no one truly loves and cares for them. I commend you and your other half for the amount of strength and love you held over these people. You 2 deserve everything and more in this world and I wish that more people sought to be as loving, caring and respectful as you are! Hopefully I will see you on the seas one day!

its a shame that people forget that their playing a game and see the need to only win. If you keep winning all the time it means people are loosing. If people are loosing people are leaving the game. So if their cheating they are killing the game, even when they think they win, they loose and the game devs loose

I rarely encounter toxic people in SoT but when I do it's pretty bad. The only gamest hat are worse are GTA5 and CSGo

This was therapeutic to watch, I missed season 1 because of a combination of college work and not wanting to deal with toxic players sinking me during a tall tale. I was just barely pirate legend and I could've qualified to get that legendary curse had I finished the plunder pass, now I can never finish my curses collection. I am glad to see that someone is helping punish people for what they did to guys like myself who just want to enjoy the game with what little time they have.

Damn the salt in those... Could fill the seas of the damned 10 times over :P Well done guys :) such a happy ending. Reminds me of this time I was chilling on the seas during a talltale with a friend. Then some salty 12 year olds decided we were their prey. We were eating so naturally we turned against the wind and let them follow us for an hour and a half, poking the salty kids every time they got bored and turned away. All the while they were screaming nasty things at us about our moms (go figure). When dinner was over we turned around poked the salty bear and send them to davy jones faster then I'dd normally sink to others. Some more insults about our moms while we laughed at them. After the ferry man gave them a good staredown we only saw their sails again at the horizon. Never closer. We finished our tall tale in peace :)

Just had the worst game ever yesterday, managed to make a crap tonne of gold and I forgot I was on open crew. An afker/leech joined, as I complete the emissary and get go out to sell a full man brig pulls up and my lovely leech assumes that staring at the brig at not being useful was the best way to help, we sank as I couldn't bail, kick off boarders, repair and shoot at the same time. I wish there was a way captains of their ship could kick out people from their ship

I got this game three days ago and I quickly learnt what truly matters: Cashing in the gold. You stole other's cargo and stole and sold it, maybe even sunk the ship? You totally won. Killing other players is not any form of measurement, only means of reaching da booty.

While I also get very angry at video games / players, you have to keep the anger to yourself and stay off comms. I'm certain that other players would not want to hear my in-game profanities, and I certainly would not want to hear their profanities either. In other words, scream at your T.V. all you want, no one wants to hear it on comms.

Just reported them and sent this video as a proof. Easiest ban of my life.

A few weeks back I was playing with 2 friends, one of which had only just bought the game after we managed to convince him as he was tentative, on our second day playing with him we encountered a galleon of hackers, caused my “new” friend to rage quit, he uninstalled the game then tried to get a refund for it as he got super tilted. Aimbotters are an absolute scourge in this game, it’s super frustrating but watching this made me quite happy, seeing some justice server.

Nobody can change these people. I see enough of this kind IRL that I want to waste no more time on them in a game like this. I simply don't play SOT anymore or any kind of game like this.

Players like these two = sad/angry/frustrated in real life.

My favorite kind of toxic players are ones that lost, but insist they won. A friend of mine and I were on a sloop with a grade 3 gold hoarders flag, escaping some reapers on a brig. We knew we couldn't take them on because we're just not strong PvPers, so our goal was just to either ditch them, or manage to sell our loot and lower our flag so they wouldn't get the reward for an easy sink. I managed to load our treasure to a rowboat and sneak off to an outpost when our ship was hidden out of view. Wasn't a lot, but we did at least have a Chest of a Thousand Grogs. After returning to the ship, we continued trying to escape but the wind direction kept changing in really inconvenient ways that allowed them to keep up with us. We eventually got to Morrow Peak Outpost and lowered the flag, and just let them sink us. They were so mad, and when they noticed we had some cosmetics that only Legends can have, they were trying to say we were "really bad" pirate legends for running away instead of fighting them. We just told them "You wasted over an hour chasing us and got nothing out of it. You lost, sorry." and they said *we* wasted *their* time and just kept insisting they "won", and that they didn't care about the flag or treasure. But if they didn't care about the flag or treasure, why were they so mad when they finally caught up to us and realized we didn't have anything of value? Why would they have been mad about us "wasting their time" if they didn't care about rewards? If they wanted a real battle, why'd they chase a sloop that clearly didn't want to fight for over an hour? I still laugh about it because of how salty they got after they finally "won" the chase. My friend and I weren't even mad, we succeeded in our goals.

Fights at Fort of Fortunes are proving grounds. Where boys become men, shipmates become captains, noobs become future pirate legends, and happy people get pissed and salty after they get sunk. I personally gained my reputation as the designated “kegger” in my regular crews after my first keg sink attack. My bois decided on going to do a FoF one day, I’d never done one before. Luckily, we finished the breadth of the pve with no pvp intervention. However, while we were loading up the ship in the storm, a sloop decked out in Athena gear pulled up out of the storm on our already crippled galley consisting of 4 non-pirate legends. I asked my crew “How much do you care about keeping the Athena Keg?”. I was given the go ahead. I jumped in the water, swam under, and sunk their ship and killed both of them in ten seconds. We made it out of there that day and sold. I have since never successfully used an Athenas keg and have only completed another 2 FoFs. However, I have since sunk 20+ ship by kegs but only on vengeance runs against toxic people who sunk my crew. Just yesterday I used my ship as a decoy at a FoF after a crew sunk us and had my crew of 3 all take a keg to their ship. I then ruined this kid with proper rhetoric in Xbox DMs. Very fun.

this just reminds me of my first experience with sea of thieves. was playing with a friend and we saw some ship anchored at a sunken ship so we decided to try and take them. before we even got close or fired a shot our ship just sank without any holes in it.

Jackie said something that my mom says a lot or said a lot when I was a kid and it was kind of offhanded when she said they're so afraid. I think that's important to remember if you ever run into players like this it is just because they're afraid of something don't use too much of your energy being upset by them especially now that you can dive

and there you have the flaw in the game. everyone wants to tuck (lots of streamers not phuzzy, glorify tucking)and pvp no-one does any work , so the forts remain closed while all the sweats try to out tuck each other...and cheats ffs

I think I know these guys or know 2 guys that you ran into that you called out for cheating. They were telling me how bad you were and how they aren’t sure why Rare keeps banning them (one of them was banned 5 times because they have his IP info) for cheating and being racist. I was watching you on twitch when you ran into them and I’m pretty sure this was them, but idk. Anyway, I reported them, blocked them, and left their discord server and I have no regrets. Keep doing your thing Phuzzy and Jackie.

I've had a similar experience like this, not the best at the game but people like this really get under my skin. I like how you handled the situation and didn't stupe to their level. I'm gonna try to do the same the next time a situation like this happens.
