when he paws the ground, it usually means he wants you to move on. Sounds like a hunter, trying to lure him closer for a better shot. doesn't seem all that angry to me.
When bull moose "paw at the ground" it's because they are creating a " rut" or pit to urinate in during rutting season. Then will usually lay in it or swat their rack at it to get there urine scent on themselves for the cows to be attracted to
I’ve been trying to type an explanation for this joke for the past 3 minutes and I never thought it would be so hard to explain. Basically moose is a nickname that’s used by the supernatural fandom [used in the show as well] for Sam Winchester/Jared Padalecki. 🤠
This guy is lucky to still be alive and not six feet under. I grew up in Alaska and had moose walking through my yard all the time. If there is one thing you should never ever do around a moose, it is getting their attention. Because they can and will brutally kill you for getting too close to them.
Yea.. I'm not sure this is at all accurate. The guy was not in any sort of Danger. They were mimicking a cow in heat so he stopped to check things out. We Shed Hunt Northern Maine every year and run into them.. 1000% of the time they want nothing to do with you. Unless you were taunting it as if you were another bull that is challenging it for a mate, 99.99% of the time with Moose encounters you're more than okay 👌
I know that moose, he was my roommate at the St Louis Zoo. He moved to the woods to get some privacy and you're out there chasing him with a camera and you wonder why he's angry?

Ijustcamehere Ijustcamehere I can assure you that he didn’t bust shit. We were watching and calling him for hrs. He’s sub legal we had no interest in shooting him other then with a camera. He’s around 100yds away and came in from over a mile so I’d say we did pretty well. Shot the bigger bull the next day that was with him but bedded down with his cows
That's not angry. You'd know if he was angry. You'd be seeing the business side of him a lot closer than that. Your bull grunts scared him off. If you'd stuck with the cow call he would have come in closer. He's a lover, not a fighter. ;)
What a beautiful moose! In north Idaho, our moose are being killed by ticks and poachers. There hair falls out and they look like they have mange and the parasites inside of them, keep them so poor that they starve to death in the winter. Idaho Fish and Game are a joke when it comes to our wildlife. They do nothing to help them. Its pretty sad!
My boyfriend and I went camping last night and I woke up at midnight to hear this exact noise right outside the tent. It was so close I thought it was my boyfriend at first, it sounded like the noise was right next to me and I thought he was having a bad dream. So I turned to wake him up and realized he was already awake and there was a bull moose right outside our tent. We lay low for a while with the gun close by just in case, listened in terror until it went away, and then we decided to sleep in the car. Does anyone have advice for what we should have done had it stuck around, or if it would have ever gotten aggressive with two sleeping humans in a tent? I'm still kind of freaking out and I'm not sure if his gun would have done much had it come to that, honestly.
Not angry, but rather uneasy! The way he is staring, running, stopping and turning back, its like there is another animal nearby stalking him! Or even uncomfortable with the cameraman all together! Happy new year everyone(2020)😘!
I'm glad you only shot it, with video. He is one heck of a gorgeous beast. I've seen only females but who love to see a male (with a rack) in real life one day. Thanks for the video.
