Well, many of them also got defeated by the mc (or side character) directly by breaking a curse (Princess and Frog), fighting (Lion King). We can say Rapunzel's mother died before the fall, but they made it look that's what she finally killed her (she was all ashes before reaching the grass). I think the falling on accident is used when they have no imagination left for that movie.
4:05 Scar realizes, for the final time, that hyenas are not scavengers, but *predators.* And predators almost never pass up a free meal - especially one that just dissed the entire pack of them. Being ripped limb from limb and eaten alive would not be a fun way to go, but boy he was *begging* for it.
@@1b17hoyuhin4 Yes they do, as a way to slow them down and let the pack catch up with them. Those jaws can literally bite bones in two. Getting mauled to death by hyenas would not be a painless death at ALL.
@@ghostface831 He'd already thrown all of them under the bus to their avowed enemy - Simba. Nothing he said was going to talk louder than their stomachs at that point. Roasted lion, anyone?
Clayton and Dr. Facilier are the most brutal and dark ones for me... The sheer atmosphere and darkness vibe of each really gives you a few seconds you hold your breath out of horror
The death of the horned king is my top 1, you can see him being skinned alive while being absorbed by the black cauldron, Clayton's was quick and with Facilier you can only see his desperation, the rest is up to the imagination
God, Nuka's death isn't even satisfying, it's just sad. All he wanted was his mother's approval. He got it in the end... at least in the deleted version.
5:44 Nuka is more broken than evil , he wasn’t evil , he tried his best to get his mother attention who never cared about him. He deserved a better life :(
Definitely not evil, just mentally challenged. lol He shouldn't even be on this list. The Lion King II is not a Walt Disney Animation Studio film but whatever.
Disney was creative with these deaths. Although technically the way they died was the same: Falling from tall structures, impalements, drowning, banishments, blunt force trauma, crushed, spells, and being it by something in Sykes’ case. Sykes, I consider to be the most gruesome death, literally nothing left of his body on the bridge or in the East River. Syndrome is a close second.
I’ll say Scar’s death is pretty gruesome in my opinion. His death traumatized me as kid, seeing his look of terror and pleading to the hyenas but he gets eaten alive
they never really showed what happened to him...but his size, durability and absolute fury at everything would have seen him survive, out of sheer malevolence.
For a direct to video sequel, Lion King 2 went hard with the villain deaths. One dying trying to make his mother proud the way she preferred Kovu over him. The other dying bc she couldn't ever let go of her anger towards Simba.
And fun fact; in an alternate version of her death scene, Zira refused Kiara’s help and let go of the cliff herself. Even smiling as she plunged into the raging river.
Nuka wasn’t really a villain, just brainwashed. He was the same as his brother. Kovu only turned good because he spent time with simba’s pride and learned the truth about scar.
@@aleksandarvil5718 Yep, The Lost World. I think the novel's concept predated the film, but it was fully written and published after the first film was a huge success.
Nuka's death was the saddest because he definitely wasn't a villain. He felt shunned by his father Scar who chose Kovu as his heir AND by his own mother who spent the whole movie berating him. He was pretty harmless comic relief and attacking Simba wasn't out of villainy, but just a desperate attempt to finally get her attention :(
@@KingZorLink21 Kids who are emotionally neglected/abused are often desperate for the approval of their neglectful/abusive parent, because children _need_ their parents to survive, it's engrained in them to want to their parents' love and protection, and of course, the person raising you formats your thoughts and ideals from day one. Nuka never saw Zira as wrong. It doesn't matter if she was or wasn't wrong or right or what have you; just because we know she was wrong doesn't mean he was a victim any less. He was a victim as much as a villain.
when I was a kid I got confused lol. Like I didnt see the body nor pay enough attention to see the shadow so I thought he got stuck forever in those stringy thingy
@@MasterAnakinSkyWalker first of all it was my pov as a kid, secondly what's wrong with that? English is not my first language, and you still understand the message I was trying to convey, no?
It seems awkward now, but back then nobody had the means to easily view these films so closely together the way we can today. In 1959 Snow White had been reissued twice -- in 1952 and 1958. But even with a reissue that recent, it's doubtful anyone in the audience would remember that specific scream. Only when home video became a thing was it possible for the average person to really compare these movies to each other.
These compilations usually include deaths from the feature films, but exclude scenes from direct to video movies or TV series. Props for not leaving those out.
Disney has always been awesome at giving us some vary awful villains and they gave us some cool deaths for the villains. My favorite deaths are Gaston, Nuka, Frollo, Maleficent, The Horned King, Ursula, and McLeach.
6:10 shira’s death is darker in a delated scene kiara says the same thing “I’ll help you” but then shira says on an eeire mocking voice “no, never” and she lets go with a creepy smile on her face showing not only that she’d rather die than to receive the help of the enemy but also fully aware her death will hunt kiara for years to come as someone she could save
Maybe or maybe not. If the impact was hard enough, his entire spine would compress thus severing his spinal cord and totally immobilizing him. At high tide, he would painfully drown in deep seawater; at low tide he would miserably bake to death in the hot sun. 🐳

Just a nitpick; Helga from Atlantis didn't die when Rourke threw her overboard, after she hit the ground she lived long enough to shoot down Rourke's aircraft.
I thought the same, from what Cookie said about a flaming zeppelin coming down on her, it sounds like maybe the hot air balloon actually fell on her, and killed her offscreen.
I dont even know why helga was considered a "villan" on the same level as rourke, she didnt do anything evil during the film, as much as stand next to rourke, shes no more of a villan than all the other people who died on the way to atlantis and they didnt show up in this comp.
@@000zeronull Maybe that's the point. People stand with the leadership and die like a dog for no good reason. In other words the point is to relate to how people fight and die in real wars and conflicts.
7:21 Ursula’s Sister is not yet Dead, when Evil Manta and Mrs. Del-Ray will form together with Morgana to take over the Seven seas in The Little Mermaid’s third animated sequel with a continuation of Princess Melody and Queen Ariel(not prequel)
I feel that Roarke's line to Helga before throwing her overboard was better in the Finnish dub. When she says "You promised me a percentage", instead of "Next time, get it in writing", he says "I promised free flights." That's just cold.
Yeah, "I promised free flights" is better because "Next time, get it in writing" doesn't seem like something one would say to somebody they're in the process of murdering.
Can you tell me who Philip and Belos are (Unless Philip and Belos are the same person/thing), I’m assuming they come from a Disney channel show since I don’t watch those.

Everytime i watch this movie i must repeat about Clayton: HE WAS NOT STRANGLED TO DEATH, HE HAD HIS NECK BROKEN BY THE STRONG PULL OF THE VINES, HAVING INSTANT DEATH. The proof is that his shadow, that appeared one second after the pull, was already still, instead of struggling while dying, which means he was already dead
That’s still considered hanging lol. There’s two classifications based off of distance plus COD: Short-drop and long-drop. Short-drop _typically_ causes strangulation, it’s rare to break your neck from a short-drop. It cuts off your air flow and that’s what kills you. Long-drop just breaks your neck, like in Clayton’s case.

Back in the 30s and 40s, realism in Disney movies was SOMETHING ELSE. Deaths felt natural and real. No wonder Don Bluth quit Disney as soon as he saw they were turning soft like what they are now… 😐
Yknow I thing about Clayton from Tarzan is that I feel like he still would’ve died even if he would’ve managed to de tangle the vines In time cause notice how high up they were in the fight cause usually nobody could survive a fall from that height
I really think the Horned King’s death was probably one of the most visually stunning and horrifying deaths in all of Disney. Underrated movie overall.

The fact that a lot of the deaths are falling is actually very clear symbolism of their failure. Except for Claude Frollos.. his is instead a testament to his sim and dark desires. As a non-religious raised catholic person the fact he used his beliefs to justify ending Esmereldas life. I always found religion as an interesting study of the human brain. And his denial of his own sin and guilt was his drive to murder despite it being in fact against the way of the lord as all true Christian’s practice. When he recited the verse of casting “the wicked into the firey pit” HE was the one to fall to his death in the blaze. Proving gods judgement was on him, that he was the sinful one full of disgusting perverted desires and that Esmeralda deserved the right to live.
Kovu is one of the most sympathetic Disney Characters. The main reason he is treated harshly as an outcast is because he was chosen as Scar’s heir, (who by the time of _The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride_ has gained a legacy so bad that he is hated by all the Pridelanders, including new generations) a position he never asked for.
