Fun fact, in India sometimes we go on religious pilgrimage to various temples/ holy sites. My grandparents set aside 2 months back in 2017 to go to Tirupati in South India. Not trying to attack/disprove, just thought I'd share
yes us europeans do not believe in the phenomenon of "water", we believe that it is a myth that it makes you hydrated and we prefer any alcohol or fizzy drink at our disposal than that. you are right aisha thank you for spreading our message
I never buy water bottles as an Norwegian, other than when I’m on vacation… because it would be a waste because I can just drink tap water. (Our tap water is like the expensive Voss water we sell to Americans)
to seriously add to this and ruin the fun, i think most europeans just carry personal reusable water bottles. there's water fountains all over the town i live in but you'd have to go to a cafe to get water probably
The first time I went to an anime convention was two years ago. Needless to say, it was an awesome experience. I saw my first pair of furries right after entering, and not even 5 seconds after that shocking realization a 6 ft tall man who looked like he hadn’t gotten out of his basement for years stood in front of me and stared directly down at my chest for a good 5 seconds, until I walked away. 10 seconds from that interaction, a man similar looking to the other one (except this one looked like he could be my grandpa) touched me by the arm and tried to make an out of nowhere conversation about a line that was next to us that we weren’t even a part of. All while, you guessed it, also looking directly at my boobs. Not even once did he look me in the eye while we had that conversation. It was…an experience. But on the positive side, I walked out of there with a spy x family sticker pack and a picture I took with an among us cosplayer. Good stuff!
NEVER make eye contact with an artists in the artist alley. I've gone home with entirely too many bad comics because my adhd having self was focusing on something unrelated then accidentally made eye contact. Next thing I know I'm engaged with some poor soul with no self awareness. Listening to their pitch while gazing at the robust stack of self published books that I just know they're going home with.
@@mperezmcfinn2511 Haha nah I feel you. I've done the same a few times at cons. Thankfully, the vast majority of the time I am satisfied with the content.
I won't lie, testing your cosplays before the con is SUPER important! I recommend testing the ability to walk up stairs and sitting. I once had a freind whose cosplay ripped when she sat down, so after a quick repair she had to suffer by standing for almost 8 hours with no relief until after the train ride home
my first anime convention was so fun that i went to another one and then i went to another when and then i went to another one and then i went to another one and i went to one like a week ago and im going to another one in october. let me tell you, i have smelled the TRENCHES of our earth. At one point was I not only giving out free fans, but also i dont know why i started off that sentence like there was something else i did. anyways, although theres these horrible things, they are always like the most fun events i meet friends at!! I always love meeting other cosplayers, but i also dont like when im going with my mom and dad (theyre both comic book buffs) because of the anime body pillows. anyways cant wait for october because the one i went to a week ago had me walking around or standing with no break for eight hours. ‼️‼️ I LOVE CONVENTIONS
fun fact at 13 i went to my first convention and saw vic mignogna and he asked me if i want to get a drink and his offer didint change once i told him my age :) side note i hope cons have chilled out on how many "situations" occur 😩
10:55 I was in full lolita×animal crossing cosplay with my gf at the time. Walked around the whole day then did a photo shoot. Twords the end I started feeling bad so I went back to the hotel and passed out on the bed. Gf came back and managed to wake me up and I threw up in the bathroom. All cause I didn't drink water. Don't be foolish
There’s something about going to an anime convention that for most people it’s the only place where they can live off of a small sip of water and a small granola bar for the next 12 hours 😭 but please people drink water the entire time your there and EAT!!!
the first and only time I went to an anime convention was for my friends birthday, and I also happened to meet the voice actor for glamrock freddy, he was really nice and I felt so bad bc I was literally the only one in line to take a picture
I fully solo speed run the Megacon Artist Alley. I do a small overview with friends for like 10 mins with a map and then I Irish goodbye my way into spending 300$ on keychains and prints.
thank you aisha for another banger video. but as a monthly con goer all the information seen in this video is true, but if you only take one thing from this video... WEAR DEODORANT PLEASE
i have never once been to an artist alley and not spent ludicrous sums of money, there's just a primal urge to buy every cool thing i see until my bank account runs empty
Your outfit here reminds me of the manga Lychee Hikari Club lol. Anyway, ngl this video eased my anxieties as I'm going to a con later this month and my social anxiety was having a field day thinking about the con lol
10:00 mark was my exact exp, Speedwagon: spare my wallet if I see desired item in the hands of another buyer, I get the anxiety & jealousy pressure until I buy 1 of my own 😣 My 1st vid of your channel, good stuff
Driving around and seeing an anime convention is one of the most surreal things the world has to offer, for a few moments one wonders if it was all a fever dream
Wait am I bugging? I remember she posted a video titled "car insurance fan-fiction" and now its gone. It doesn't help that ive been feeling weird these past couple of days.
Gotta say, this is so accurate except for the food part… I hardly ever feel hungry at con (read: you should STILL EAT even if that happens) but yeeeee water, deodorant, food and fun :3
I went to an anime convention with my uncle on my 12th birthday It was really fun and chill actually My uncle likes anime too so we both had a good time :)
My first convention was comic con LA this past December, I loved it so much but I only went for one day and I was DECEASED by the end of it. Now I'm going to ALL FOUR DAYS for anime expo LA this July and I can't wait but I know my legs and feet are gonna be mush 😭😭
If you think salad fingers was bad, someone literally cosplayed as chris-chan and it was my first con. This wasn't not that long ago, it was like almost a month. Hopefully that will be the only time I will see that weirdo.
My favourite thing about the comic con that i go to is that we get free Lucozade energy, as much as you want they have barrels full of it My dad and i took like 20 cans
10:26 Also, I do not eat the food at cons. If I'm going out of town for a con I want to see the actual city and taste local cuisine. It's okay to leave the con to get food. I'll find something close by. Also a good idea to take some snacks in your bag.
I’m going to an anime convention with a friend like, a month from now and a furry convention with another friend about a year from now, so this was fun to watch
I went to my first Anime Convention last summer... man, never thought I would feel a "coming to Jesus" moment, but I did those three days. I cried alot because I was re-engaging with a part of my personality I basically suppressed because I was made to believe watching Anime was not cool. I cannot wait to do at least three this year.
I went to my first ever convention this year, a couple weeks ago. I have to say, from what i've heard people say about other conversations I was a little scared. But I got to say, either Indiana Comic Con is built different or I got *really* lucky. They didn't give us badges, we got wristbands. It didn't smell bad, I mean I was there for 3-4 hours and didn't smell anything even remotely bad *ever.* And it was shockingly quiet. Like for how many people were there it was kind of scary. But everyone was talking at a normal level, nobody was talking or yelling over each other.
