On July 6th a memorial master class was held in loving memory of the incredible Choreographer who we recently lost, Andre Fuentes. All of the proceeds from the class were donated to his memorial fund.
Featuring multiple generations of dancers spanning from choreographers like Brian Friedman and Brooke Lipton to dancers who performed with Andre, Jesse Lee Santos, Leo Moctezuma & Maria Diaz down to the new generation, Maddie Ziegler, Taylor Hatala & Kaycee Rice.
This class was dedicated to not only Andre but to the entire world. Let's put joy out there... it's contagious! #LetLoveWin

So true. Just found this video & I've watched a couple of times. I've watched her then watched the others. The others are amazing as well, but man Maddie just has something unexplainable. Her movements are just different & so unique. Can't take your eyes off of her.

Maddie is such a quality dancer. She's got all the tools---technique, musicality, passion, dedication, humility---to make a beautiful artist. I can't wait to see what the future holds for her. (Also, does anyone else want to see her perform on SYTYCD Next Gen?? Brian Friedman, please choreograph something for Maddie for the show!)

I'm so captivated by Maddie. Now I know she is not the best like everyone makes her out to be, but you can't deny her talent. In this video, she gives emotion to the dance just like she does with many of her dances. She really is so incredible and I am a huge fan of her.

Rest in peace Andre Fuentes... This kind of contemporary is so expressive and emotive. Once again Brian Friedman told us a story with the movement of every dancers. We can feel the struggle in each steps, first they want to hide maybe from the future reality, then they pray for help, they also try to escape the situation and at the end they see "the truth" and face it, in a brave way. All is in the move. Brilliant, just brilliant.

What is wrong with praising one of the dancers for her true talent? Maddie is not only the best dancer, but her facial expression and her postures perfectly reflect that this is a celebration of the life of a deceased choreographer. She does not smile, like others, she does not "have fun", and she just walks away at the end. I truly respect that.
