Actually, many of these pastors don't preach against abortion, homosexuality, etc. They're too busy preaching about money, destiny, purpose, blah, blah.
So encouraging for someone to speak the truth from the Bible instead of worrying about how to say it "right" as to not hurt feelings; I will be looking for and watching his sermons from now on. Thank you!
People in Memphis know Apostle A R Williams. He has the second largest black congregation in the area. He has been a strong gospel preacher for over 30 years. I heard of him back in 92. Strong preacher back then like now. A lot of people have rejected his stance on LGBTQ. He just lays out the facts and says you choose for yourself.
Yes, I remember listening to him online on Bountiful Blessings Radio in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He was just as forthright and unapologetic then as he is now.

Why aren’t you trying? We’re supposed to be connected to the body place. I’ve got you that phase of thinking I don’t need to go to church and I’m just gonna be alone with Jesus, but that doesn’t go with scripture. We need each other enemy. We always attack we we are those of us to separate from the church, you’re looking for church. It doesn’t exist and we’re always gonna nitpick every little thing that we don’t like about the church of course we’re not gonna find one. I encourage you to pray that the Lord shows you at church you can go to.

The people around her tried to run me off because of jealousy. The warfare was great. I'm just tired and recovering from church craziness. I'm not knit picking. I am accountable to some leadership but needed a break. I also participate with this ministry as much as I can. SWJ is an excellent teacher. I quietly departed from the last ministry and 2 sets of elders came too see me here in Seattle WA from Southern California. I just needed a break. I love the LORD Jesus Christ and His people .

I can truly say that The Lord Jesus favored the Publican over the liberal-minded Pharisee in His parable (See Saint Luke Ch 18 verses 9-14 KJV). The Lord Jesus was clearly for the Republic (meaning for the people) and not the Roman "democracy." He was putting the Roman democracy on full blast. This why they wanted Him out of the picture.

The real issue is distinguishing what is Christianity vs Christian Nationalism. The situation about racial identity and politics has created a great divide among believers. Even though there are many factors that contribute to the division, the blending of both Christianity and Christian Nationalism has made things worse over the last few years.
Black people also want a sound tax policy, healthcare policy, and tax policy. Why do we keep talking about abortion and gay marriage over and over again?
I can't prove this but I personally believe that if Jesus or His apostles were alive today, they wouldn't vote at all. Picking the lesser of two evils is no where in Scripture. As a matter of fact, scripture says to "abstain from the very appearance of evil." 1 Thessalonians 5:22 "Our ancestors died so we'd have the right to vote." To that I say, Christ died "that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

"Black" is an adjective. "Christian" is a noun. An adjective modifies a noun. If you say you are a black Christian, you are saying your faith can be modified by matters that happen according to your ethnicity. We are Christian, FIRST, before anything esle.

Honestly I have no idea what churches many are attending but the church and churches I'm affiliated with doesn't mention any politics. Most local churches are staying away from that subject. Secondly if that is going on it's the Pastor or ministers fault and not the congregation. Thirdly, and most importantly, from what I have seen it's the media and news outlets that are perpetuating that this is what black people are doing and saying. Stop generalizing ALL African American churches because it's not true!😒😒

I’m confused. We have two choices here. That is reality. I will not waste my vote. I wish no woman would have to make a decision on whether or not to have an abortion. I lost a child in the womb. I know what it’s like to mourn for a baby l never got to hold. Understand there are medical reasons why it is necessary. There are other issues to consider. Mr. Trump lacks character and wisdom. The character of a nation’s leader is crucial since its citizens will inevitably be blessed or suffer as a result of their leadership. He has shown us who he is time and time again. I have made an informed decision and it was never based on color. A fool’s actions are visible to all. I will vote wisely and with my eyes wide open.
