birth was always an imposition. But given the now disintegrating world in 2024, and even bleaker prospects that lie ahead for the generations who'll have to inherit this calamity that we leave behind, it now really is as good as a crime, as far as i'm concerned. The greatest love i ever showed to my children, was never having them

Do you think it is easier for wpmen to accept antinatalism beause of pain of pregnancy?

I don't know about the gender demographics, but some women fearing the pain, death, vulnerability, or damaged body of pregnancy has made some women not want to have kids. Tho antinatalism focuses more on the morality of not wanting to force the child to be born into guaranteed suffering. There's another movement called the childfree movement. They are people who just don't want kids for personal reasons. Not necessarily for morality for the child's suffering. Childfree people can change their minds more. Antinatalists may want kids but choose not to for morality to spare the child from being born into suffering. Antinatalists can still adopt. Some people don't want to have kids to help the environment. Because so much environment destruction comes from people and overpopulation.

No because some women take on the natalist programming so much (it's usually directed more at women) they believe it's a woman's duty to be a mother. As they are the mother they see it as more important for women to have children. Usually the relationship a child has with it's mother is seen as stronger and more important than the relationship a child has with it's father.

Can you make a video how antinatalists see romance and marriage?

There's no difference in relationships. Just that antinatalists don't reproduce. They can still adopt.

8:05 "in my view there's just nothingness, no experience of any kind". If I don't exist, then yes, "my" brain won't be one of the ones responsible for consciousness, but we have to seriously ask ourselves why not existing didn't stop _this_ life-a life-from being imposed. Your lack of existing did nothing to stop a life from being imposed, and this is true of every single being in the universe. So all of the evidence shows that not existing does nothing to stop a life from being imposed. If we imagine a universe completely devoid of all life, but then a single life pops into existence, how would your lack of existing stop that life from being the one imposed? You lack of existing did nothing to stop the life called "Lawrence Anton" from being imposed, so why would it suddenly be effective at stopping some other life from being imposed? You won't exist in order to stop it from being imposed. And so the idea that your lack of existing= "no experience of any kind" is a fallacy. Because, had you never been born, _other_ lives were born and existed back then. There's no escaping one life or another, because-if you don't exist-there's no you to escape one life or another... And so: if it isn't one life it's another. There's no escaping experience, because there's no such thing as "non-experience" as something that's achievable or obtainable. I am not advocating for people to have kids. I'm just pointing out the flaw in the idea that not existing would be better.

Antinatalists do not say they can perfectly make people stop having kids. But it's about reducing as many lives from coming into existence and being spared as much as possible. It did work to convince some people like Lawrence to not reproduce even tho he said had wanted to. Your logic is bad cause it's like saying well murder will always go on so let's not try to save as many people as we can. It can't be perfect but we spared some people.

Don't think too much. If God wishes someone to exist let God choose that. You don't. You have the intellect to decide not to bring someone into existence. Just do that. Leave the rest to God.
