There's a video on vimeo where Peter talk about his Jeff Buckley influence. He said he was a big fan when he was younger and Buckley was one of his first major vocal influences. He used to channel and "rip him off" when he was in high school but when he does it now, it's not on purpose. He said it just stuck with him. I think it's wonderful! Jeff Buckley is my favorite artist/singer and The Antlers are my favorite band!
I LOVE THEM!!! - Burst Apart was my favourite album by them until Familiars came out. Wow, especially Surrender, "To find the peace within the combat where we’re standing . We have to make our history less commanding." They seriously know how to tug on my heart strings. I very sadly had the opportunity to see them perform with Arcade Fire at The Gorge amphitheater but arrived too late, so upsetting but AF was amazing. The Antlers are so extremely talented.. A+
The Antlers are a unique band with their own style of music.I don’t know but I became their fan the moment I heard them 05 years ago.Now, The Antlers have become a part of my life and I can always relate to their songs.
He's been touring with them since their initial Burst Apart tour, but I don't think he contributed to the album. He might have played on Undersea, though.
the drummer needs to learn a thing or two from phil selway and simmer down a bit. (especially on no widows, in which he misses quite many beats). it's odd, given how great everybody else sounds.
