I’ve just taken delivery of my Anymaka hammock after waiting for 6 months on the Kickstarter campaign. It’s great, I plan to use it in the garden and take it to the beach. If I was going camping I would take it but it does take up a bit of space. Only weighs 10kg so easy to carry.
Leave the frame at home, use either 2 trees or 1 tree and a strong fixing point on Boris. The frame is far too much faff and space/weight hungry to justify for the 5 minutes you will spend in the hammock. I did see a truck at a show that had a hammock frame built into the front bumper, that seemed worth the faff, other than that not worth the hassle.
There aren’t always trees available in convenient spots if you’re out in the desert, by the beach, etc. I have a hammock stand that I attach to my tow hitch and it’s great, but I like the canopy option for this thing.
