I think what I like most about DiU is how they stuck to a consistent setting, that being Morioh. Being in the town the entire time and seeing what life is like there made me care about it and its people. Me caring about the town and it's inhabitants made me care a lot more about Kira being stopped. Compared to Dio or Diavolo, I never really cared about the people, outside the main characters, that they killed or the areas they took over. Morioh gave me a reason to care. the ending scene in the anime nearly brought me to tears because I was reminded about all the sacrifices that were made to Kira and friends made during my time in Morioh. Im glad Morioh gets to be safe again.
I think Araki needed some way to make the readers hate DIO and Diavolo,so that's why Kakyoin and Narancia(beloved characters) died,to show us how bad these villains were, since Araki didn't had time to develop this feeling of compassion for the citizens
For me personally, I can never think of part 8 as "a continuation to part 4" in any ways shapes or forms. Even with the same name, the characters and the vibes they gave off is completely different, and part 8 cast is definitely less likable (coughjoshucough). Even their attitude and the town's atmosphere is different too. Rohan oneshots however, i'd love to see more of that, with Josuke taking some kind of support role in it gdi Araki please draw Josuke more often.
God fuck the Rohan OVAs. I have never seen spin offs that I cared less about. Rohan is not that interesting of a character. Part 8 on the other hand, amazing so far. An actual mystery thriller that has me guessing rather than a slice of life that just left me with a "meh" feeling at the end.
@@blitzkriegdragon013 My man i dont even remember what happened in part 4 other than the kira stuff (rock paper scissors boy worst fight in the series) it was soo uneventful part 4 is part 3 this time stand battles but with no danger and even more boring stands Part 8 is the most unique part in storytelling and gets really emotional too
Parts 4 and 5 are my favorite for numerous reasons: OPs are fantastic. Characters are great. Stands are some of my favorites in the series. They both feel like they would actually take place in their respective eras.
I have actually really grown on this part over time It being labeled “mystery” turned me off ant first and made me go as far as label it as the 2nd worst part at one point, but after really considering the label could not be more meaningless as there is so, so, so, so much more here and it’s just so enjoyable the entire way through
Reasons to watch Diamond is Unbreakable: 1.) Memes (its Jojo ffs of course there's gona be memes). 2.) Because part-skipping is a shameful. 3.) David fucking Bowie.
I really loved P4. Part 1-3 and 5 were stories that felt complete when their mission has been accomplished but P4 is that part where I wished it kept going.
The whole closing scene in the anime that wasn't a part of the manga gave me feels. I loved seeing the whole cast just chilling and living their lives and interacting even after the events of DiU. Plus, them using the united version of "Great Days" made it that much more amazing
Not just that, but the ending honestly felt an ending to an era. From Pt2-4, they often had recurring characters from past parts (Speedwagon, Erina, Joseph, Jotaro, etc). But after this, besides Jotaro and Polnareff, Pt5 and 6 felt disconnected from past Parts. Not saying that this is a bad thing, but I would have liked to see how the Morioh gang or Giorno and Mista were doing.
English Giraffe I do agree with you on the end of an era stuff though. Part 6 is probably gonna feel more like it though with how Araki ended it. Sad to be no longer following Jonathon’s Joestar family.
Diamond is unbreakable was the slice of life lower stakes refresher part that we needed after that long ass journey in part three (I do love part three). The world wasn’t going to end if they didn’t catch Kira but they knew they couldn’t let him get away with his crimes. It was a truly unique part. Also just thought I’d mention that killer queen is one of the sickest looking stands I’ve ever seen.
I love Kira so much for this exact reason. He's not a gay stripper god or the a bisexual vampire who threatens to destroy the world. He's just a normal guy (for jojo standards).
My name is Noriaki Tenmei Kakyoin. I'm 17 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Sendai, where all the villas are, and I would like to be married to a woman capable of calming the hearts of others. I work as a high school student, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I am not of age to drink, but I occasionally smoke. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After seeing her warm, happy smile and doing about twenty minutes of pornhub searches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I love mothers. I feel at ease around them, like being told at a check up that there are no issues. This may sound awkward ... but I'm trying to explain that if I were to fall in love, I'd like it to be with someone like her. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight for JoJo's mother, I would give my all for her.
I can see why Araki consider Josuke his favorite character. And he’s honestly my favorite character and best Joestar too. He was a delinquent but he had a true heart of gold that cared about his friends, family and all the people of Morioh. What I love about him was his compassion. Like Joseph said, he had the making of a true hero. I also love how Josuke in my opinion has the strongest moral compass out of all the other Joestar after Jonathan. He has all of Jonathan’s traits which is great
You mixed yourself up. Favorite and best arent the same thing. Jolyne is my favorite, but Gappy is objectively the best. Josuke is likeable, but he doesn't exactly have anything going for him on a writing level, hes just a really nice guy who protects his friends. Nothing special, Araki just makes that more enjoyable than it seems. Low tier Jojo objectively, high tier subjectively.
Keep in mind I'm an Anime only. I have seen parts 1-5 and while Giorno is my favorite JoJo, DIU is my favorite part. JoJo has always had comedy but DIU felt like JoJo with its hair down. It felt relaxed and chill, I love slice of life so I vibe with it. And it has a good message and probably the best message in JoJos about family and friends. But the mystery of it all (Chef's Kiss) the way the story reset itself after Kira was found out, not to mention how it draws attention to real world fear and logic of truly not knowing what a person can do and be, while seeming "Normal." These are my reasons why I love pt4
The Tonioh episode was honestly my favourite in all JoJo. It really emphasized that not everything has to be a tense battle against an odd adversary, you can just chill. How a slice of life episode should be, and injecting it into a shonen and breaking down tension after building it, was just fantastic
Tonio and Miktaka are possibly my favorite two minor characters in JoJo. Tonio has a pure passion for the cuisine of is homeland and only desires for others to enjoy his cooking. Mikitaka is strange but kind, and is fascinated by the people of Morioh, along with always trying to help his friends.
Diamond is Unbreakable is my favorite part. This is the point where I truly came to love Stands because battles really became more fun and creative. It has the most relatable Jojo, I could easily imagine myself being in Josuke’s position. The positive atmosphere was greatly appreciated after the previous parts that have been more dramatic. Best Jojo, best villain and a satisfying ending, it will remain my favorite part of this Bizarre Adventure.
Some Stranger I’ll give in that Great Days, CNBT, And Bloody Stream are unique. But Stand Proud is kinda anime ish anyways, because its rock. Same with Chase.
@@librask3009 mhm that and part 8 fans. i do like part 8, but just because that version of morioh is elaborated upon and its more "emotional and complex", but for me, part 4 did what i wanted it to do. that version of morioh and that version of josuke were such a nice breather and change of tone, and while i do love part 3 and 8, i prefer 4 because of how "un-jojo" it is.
Regarding that bit on a JoJo fighting game: honestly I want like a JoJo RPG. I'm still far too new to SRPG Studio to do this myself as of now, but something I want to do is make a grid-based RPG that implements Stand-like abilities. I had a couple of ideas like something akin to Crazy Diamond (something like dealing damage and swapping the enemy's HP with another random stat) and The Hand (scrape away the space between the user and enemy to either move the user closer to the enemy or the enemy closer to them), but I need to A) actually reach a skill level to where I can do this and B) give the ideas a bit more thought overall. But assuming nobody beats me to it, I will do this. >:D
Hmm. I see a problem here. Farming. I mean, the game cant be beat a stand user, do something in the city, repeat. I think that if its gonna be a JoJo rpg, Is gonna be an original story, like EoH
Imagine skipping part of the story and the best part in the OG universe because of the art being slightly different. apparently the tire shoulders of part 3 were ok to him/her?
I really loved the Italian chef Tonio. Throughout Stardust Crusaders, I'd think about how a lot of these Stand powers could be so awesome if their users weren't evil. Like ... the ability to make someone regain their youth? Just think about how life changing that could be for people if the Stand user weren't a vile murderous psychopath! And then Tonio shows up and he just ... uses his powers to make people healthier. Like ... that's it. It's awesome. And it also makes the evil Stand users that much more evil. I mean, in Stardust Crusaders you could think that Stands are only used for fighting each other because that's just part of the "manga universe rules". Like how superhero genius Reed Richards can only use his superscience powers to fight superscience supervillians, and not ... say ... solve world hunger. Those are just the "rules" of the genre. But after Tonio? Nope. There's nothing stopping Stand users from simply using their powers to help people.
Is it weird that in the scene with yoshikage trying to get the bag with the hand back from schigechi (I probably spelled that wrong) I was rooting for yoshikage, I was really nervous when he was hiding trying to get the bag while harvest was about to find him, then I was relieved when he succeeded and left, then after he killed schigechi I remembered that he is the villain, as soon as the focus swapped back to the main characters I was now rooting for them, it’s strange how watching from a different character’s perspective can... well change your perspective
Part 4 is my favorite part. I love Josuke's relatively chill attitude yet he also knows when to get serious and he kicks serious ass when he needs to. I also love the town setting of part 4. It makes the events in the part feel more interconnected as opposed to part 3. For example while we only got a few returning antagonists in part 3 (ie Boingo and Hol Horse), many past antagonists reappear throughout part 4 like Hazumada, Rohan, Yuya Fungami, and Yukako. The antagonists feel more fleshed out as opposed to the one and done feelings part 3 villians gave off. I also just like how bright part 4 is color wise. I also enjoy how homey Morioh feels. Watching DiU you feel like Morioh is that small, cozy hometown you grew up in.
You mention characters but don't mention how Kira is one of the best villains in all fiction?! In fact, you don't mention Kira as a character at all, other than him looming in the town. :( Other than that. AWESOME video! BTW JoJo fighting game video? Hell yeah!
Ed Sullivan no the vid was never about “ why you should live in morioh “ but “ why u should watch Diu “... he had no reason not to mention Kira in his video .... this comments alright
after stardust crusaders, i was so reluctant to start diu because i was so heartbroken at the finale. but man, even tho josuke is not my favorite jojo, part 4 has to be my favorite. the slice of life elements it had, the color palettes they used, everything diu had to offer was mesmerizing. it totally gave me a break after the intensity sdc had. this part gave me the blessing of rohan (my all time fav) and the town of morioh. i mean i was enjoying the part so much i didn’t realize it was already over :,)
When i started part 4, i thought u wasn't gonna really like it. Maybe it's because it's so different from the one before but at the end I got so attached I was crying for 5 minutes just thinking about it. I love part 4 so much asaghggghg
I have a question Kaleb I.A could Rohan beat G.E.R couldn’t he just right stand ability can not activate or something like G.E.R no longer exists. Would that be possible.
I believe he could not write "stand does not exist" but to your credit, nothing states that for sure. he sure as hell can make someone fight for him or at least not attack him. just look back at the fight when he is first met. as long as he activates his ability before GER, he could easily win. But with the way GER is, we will never know if GER would be able to stop him and if he even has a chance to use heavens door.
Its a shame they didnt find a way to bring Reimi back. She deserved a Jumanji ending. Imagine if there was an episode 40 & after Reimi goes to Heaven, she wakes up in her mortal body on that night. She heads to her parents room & catches Kira about to stab them. She yells & wakes them up, causing Kira to freeze up. Arnold & Reimi's dad proceed to take Yoshikage down & he's taken away in cuffs by Higashikata. At the end of the episode, we revisit the scene with Josuke & friends saying goodbye to ghost Reimi, while a 30 year old Reimi smiles at them from the other street.
@@letsbetheawkwardkquorter7159 I've been writing a story about Reimi getting her justice & saving the future. She goes back in time to her final night & kills Kira in an epic way. She becomes a Hamon user, gets a Stand called Pretty in Pink, & wields a Stand arrow. She later saves Sherry & becomes a Stardust Crusader. fav.me/de1y4ed
I feel like DIU is the happiest Jojo Part ever with happy ending. I know the fact that Shigechi died but he's not part of the main character because usually every Jojos always have their own best friends died and they are part of main characters.
I have been requiring a JoJo Arc Systems Fighting Game in my life because of how they handled GranBlue Versus and Dragon Ball Fighterz, I would patreon support or throw money at my screen to make that happen, anyone else?
Marcelo Katayama because the concept of the story is unbelievable, heck [Spoiler Warning] Jotaro got cucked by a stand of a speed of D even Star Platinum Defense is a E
My favourite part, Josuke just seemed so relatable and I love him, he’s my personal favourite Jojo. Also the side characters were so great and unique themselves.
god, part 4 is underrated. I bet most people who watch JOJO are not fans of the stagnant setting but that is one of the things that makes me like part 4 more than some of the other parts. also, I am just like Koichi in some ways, I am short as fuck and still tough as balls, so that must affect me as well
I was thinking about part 4 & 5, and came up with the best idea Abaccio and Rohan have their own detective series that takes place in New York City, I cant be the only one who thinks that sounds awesome, right?
I used to consider part 4 my least favorite part when watching, but I recently rewatched it and I now consider it to be my favorite part. Josuke isn’t my favorite Joestar, but he’s definitely top 3. Kira is my favorite villain for being the most unique, not caring for world domination or anything. The Duwang Gang is my favorite after part 5’s, and really the only thing I should criticize about it are the lingering mysteries, like who Josuke’s savior is. Other than that, Part 4 is an awesome part, and I enjoyed every episode (except for Janken Boy, he was awful)
After hearing Joseph’s speech at the end of the anime on the boat, it kinda made me think they would start a SHIELD like organization but with Stand Users. Such a bummer it never happened and I kinda wish we saw the Part 4 cast again. It would’ve been so awesome and Josuke & Giorno actually could’ve helped against Pucci
Honestly I didn’t realize how good part 4 till I finally finished it and watched part 5. Part 4 in its whole just gives a way better vibe then the other parts
He wasn't that likable as he was an ass of a person but he was a pretty unique and interesting. He works very well with the mystery theme of part 4 imo which is what his spin-off is all about. Mystery
"Chase" is a great song and I even put it on my Workout/Running music playlist, but to me it really doesn't fit the Smooth and Pastel Animation of part 4. It sounds like something Bleach would've had as an OP lol.
Part 4 to me is like Persona 3 or Final Fantasy VII in that way where I'm a greater fan of that individual story in the franchise than the franchise as a whole (still love the franchises to death though.) It has been my favorite JoJo part from the moment I finished it and it will forever appeal to me specifically the most out of all of them. Kira is pretty much my favorite fictional villain as well. Not gonna pretend its like objectively the best or anything but it just really speaks to me, man.
Honestly part 4 for me is my absolute favourite. Yes part 5 was good as well as all the other parts, but part 4 just has this magnificent feeling around it.
When I first got myself to watching Jojo, I was taken in by the bizarre animations of mythical proportions of the characters involved. The eccentric of their personalities and how cringe it all sounded. I was honestly thinking of dropping the anime when I finished SC and DiU was next on the line simply because of how different it all seemed to me. The animation in general. A friend got me to continue watching and after the first episode i fell in love with everything it had to offer. The drawing was so smooth. The music was so well fit and the thing that used to piss me off the most, the prompt change of coloring in random scenes, was by far the most enjoyable thing DiU had to offer. Writing for SURE got way better than in previous parts and you could invest yourself into the story much more than you, imo, could in BT or SC. And of course, Kira is just the cherry on top.
My favourite part along with SBR. Seriously man a detective Conan type Dui continuation would be so perfect it saddens me so much to think that it's extremely unlikely to happen.
We need a really awesome JoJo fighting game that has characters from every part along with beautiful animations like "DragonballFighterz" with the level of mechenical depth from "Heritage For The Future".
you should check out "Jojo: Eyes of Heaven" there's a gameplay walkthrough here on youtube and it has pretty much al the main characters from parts 1-8. It has pretty good storyline although it's not in canon.
@@GoodnightAfterlife yeah but that's more of a 3D arena type fighting game and those are rarely ever that good. Street fighter like fighting games such as Marvel vs. Capcom and Dragon Ball fighterz are the kind of games that usually works the best. Heritage for the future got it right but it's outdated now and All-star battles was a good attempt but it just didn't hit the mark.
One of the main reasons why I find part 4 the best is that instead of villains dying, they become friends so you see more of them. There’s something about villains becoming into good guys I like so much about
After Kira showed up and I got through halfway, DIU quickly became my favorite seriously it has it all: Amazing hilarious loveable characters Really cool stand concepts and ideas A badass amazingly written serial killer villain It just truly felt like a ride watching Josuke and his friends living in their Crazy Noisy Bizarre town
Chase is actually one of my favorite OPs because it captures that late 90s style of music that part 4 takes place in, also that acoustic version of Chase that was released a while after is so good.
I love pt 4 so much it reminds me of my friend grp and the days we spent in middle school together before we went to separate schools. Haizz co-curricular activities were so lit back then
We need to either have arcsys make a 2.5D fighting game or Cc2 make a 3D arena fighter for Jojo's. The Jojo's games we currently have are still great but we could use another from either one of those developers
@@Momo-zi7sp idk just personality i guess, cuz in part 3 he feels just overly edgy, hes basically not even in part 5 and in part 6 he's just funny boomer
This entire video is literally me plus Reimi is one of my favorite characters of all time so her entire part is in turn my fave. Also lol two Morioh & Josuke section cards. No hate, thought that was funny.
Truthfully I enjoy everything about Diamond unbreakable JoJo part 4 because the cast of characters were fun and adventurous I adore them all and I too would have wished it would have gone on a little bit longer but all good things do have to come to an end however I still loved it for what it was entirely and it will always have a special place in my heart and soul!"
I saw a meme that goes something like this Person 1: Kira has a cat stand because he’s wants a quiet and peaceful life. Person 2: Kira has a cat stand because he’s a furry.
