It"s the alarm that goes off when it stays open or doesn't close fully, letting people know they need to close it before all the cold air is let out.

The original storyteller, not Raven (who is definitely not a sociopath and never has been), said that the kids were locked in an attic at their daycare and they died of starvation. Their bodies were not found for months. Is there a parent on the face of the earth who would have gone to pick up their child, found the daycare worker hanging, and said to themselves “Oh well, I guess my child is gone then” and just left without searching the house? “A few flaws”!? What planet is this person from? (The original poster, not Raven, who is not a sociopath.)
