The moment the card was spoiled I was excited. I had built a Black-Red Rats commander deck a couple of years ago for much the same strategy, but never found a commander I was happy with. Totentanz is going to be so much fun.

I’ve said before that I wish Piper of the Swarm was a legendary creature so I could make him my rat commander, so this is absolutely perfect! Adding red for shared animosity and haste is so good for rats

One thing I feel could make this deck more annoying are etb effects. Since totetntanz makes 1/1 rats whenever a nontoken creature dies, you can do so many nasty things with cards like purphoros, impact tremors, goblin bombardment among others. Just a thought
