Not a glitch. A "feature" of sorts. The animation of the attacking creature smacking into the opponent but bouncing off uselessly? That has to play for every single creature individually. As in, they have to play the animation. One. At. A. Time. So freakin annoying, but if you have any deck that creates a lot of creatures, like Scute Swarm and you have them attack while the opponent is under a "take no damage to life points" effect? You will time out every time. Had the same exact thing happen to me, so I had to juat stop attacking until I vould get rid of the effect (which, odlf couse, I couldn't). That game lasted forever.

Kinda seems like an exploit to win against go wide strategies.

@@GrugGangGrugGang Yeah and now every other random deck is playing Teferi's Protection because of it. I've run against this trash "feature" vs Mill, Elves and Waste Not so far. Decks that definitely didn't play white before.

I had this slow animation happen recently when I attacked with a lot of Scute Swarms. When my timer ran down I didn't lose. In fact, my opponent's timer started running and forced them to use all their timer extensions. Then the game finally gave up and skipped the remaining animations. Of course they untapped and had Farewell and went on to win.

Lost at this moment to this glitch and now I'm gettin every game "Waiting for server". =D

@@Blu_Moon_Owl While true, I must admit my comment was more along the lines of a stealth insult since while Elves *can* get rolling, they too often *don't* and just as often have to overcommit only to get exploded with little recourse to rebuild easily. It's something power creep has only generally made worse even with Elves also getting stupidly powweful cards like Allosaurus Shepherd. My eyes have basically glazed over at the increasing deluge of power crept product over the past five years, especially the last two, so I've stopped paying attention for the most part. I mention this to have a preface for what I ask next, which is *not* a rhetorical question: are there any formats were Elves are doing overall well consistently? Or are they all still just hanging on and ekeing by? Regardless, in a more literal way, Pauper Elves might have the most frustrating mirror match in all of Pauper just because Priest of Titiana, Timberwatch Elf, *and* Wellwisher count every Elf on the battlefield. Given that Elves decks tend not to carry any direct (creature) removal even in sideboard...yeah.

Reminder that MTGO has the same issues if your games go long enough. Several Commander Clash episodes have a player's timer running out because MTGO takes too much time to process everything and keeps running the clock.

It's infuriating that despite how money-grubbing they are, they can't even get some pretty basic stuff in MTGA right.

@@SmashPortal The ending isn't about timing out, it's about Arena's flashy effects *forcing* a timeout with no ability for Phil to actually act. So no, MTGO doesn't have timeouts like *that*.

I have seen it from other sources of protection but I dont remember if The One Ring does that. I think by now, I just know not to attack when it comes out, so maybe I just dont remember anymore. But I can confirm that it wasn't a glitch but an arena animation "feature."
