Your dressed to the nines, finest jewelry, hosting a lavish dinner party and that little voice in your head saying, no. That takes a lot. Amy, congratulate you on your choose.
As a mechanic I've worked on several aircooled and watercooled Vanagons. If you keep up with the maintenance, they are awesome. The ride is superb. Great short film.
@@bornandraised4320 I respect that. I'm not a purist, but having German roots I can't put a Subbie in any VW. I would consider going with a stand alone ECU.
You look peaceful.and happy..putting my son through college..then onward and upward to a similar dream..in the meantime..my peace and strength comes from Jesus Christ
I lived in my syncro for almost 2 years with my dog. I’m a doctor. I didn’t have to, I just liked it. I own 2 Syncros now including an original westfailia high top from Germany. I’m more settled now, but the dog and the vans are still at the center of my adventures. That looks like Wyoming. I hope you have a furnace. They make winter pretty nice.
Such an Amazing story . Thank you 🙏.. I feel at my most connected when in my van following spirit... I see your light being in its truest form of nomadic and non tethered Cosmick earthly travels. 🌈🌈🌈💕
What an inspiring story. Walking away from a life of luxury to be true to oneself. Everyone should be so brave. I'm still finding my courage. All the best to her.
I always watch this video every time i am loosing grip of dreaming to live this kind of vanlife lifestyle here in the philippines.. I was suppose to start but pandemic hit and all my savings went to the drain... but life goes on
Amy, I'm fascinated with your story behind it & how it all started. It's not just about campervan & overland but includes our personal life & our happiness. You've probably made one big decision to move ahead with your dreams & see the world. Everyone has the similar dream but not everyone has that privilege.
I had an 84 vanagon and was a sea kayak guide and worked out of a outdoor retail shop. Did tons of rock climbing trips and kayak trips. I just loved it then life happened, but I'm glad to say I'm back in the market been looking for your exact model. 91 vanagon it's the last of the fun driving vws(eurovans stink) as far as I'm concerned. Great video and I'm happy u found what you were or are looking for. Happy Trails
Great video! I remember when I first saw Falkor in the Van tour you guys made some years ago... and I sad to myself: I have to get a VAN! and we did! :)
Nice camera work👍 I remember watching this van’s build out on the group site and when you started traveling with him. Glad to see you’re still living the dream ✌️❤️
Amy- Just happened to get this video on my timeline and so glad I did! Your story spoke to me and it confirms that I am destined to purchase some kind of VW RV. Now, I am going to let the universe lead me to whichever one enters my life. Stay safe and safe travels!
My goodness your filmmaking is getting so damn good. The story. The message. The cinematography. It's all there, you guys. So well done. Should the opportunity ever present, I would love to circle up my '85 ASI Riviera with The Troopy and have some fun. Amy McCool, would love to break bread with you, too. All, please hit me up for some hospitality should you ever find yourself in Los Angeles again... Just awesome. Don't know what else to say, other than 'best work yet'.
Your story is Beautiful. i agree..Im Trying to get to that point where i can just go.. Always seems to be the financial side, as always. but a goal is still a dream and dreams can come true. Just awesome to hear someone else say pretty much how i feel at this point in Life. Be Blessed lil Lady.
Lovely film. I have a '88 hightop also with solar panels. I bought it back in '89 as a delivery van & had the German Reimo conversion fitted. 33 years on I’m still improving it. 🏴
Nice love story - I feel the same when in my 91 Westy. Note the driver side grab handle on the front A-pillar in the early moments of the video. Very useful, I've done this retrofit twice on vans. Stock parts. Wiring runs inside the left side pillar so measure carefully and use a stop on your new, sharp drill bit.
Hi. I. am. 85 years old. A few years ago, we shIpped our 1984 VANAGON CAMPER TO OSLO, NORWAY. We spent a week in Norway. Got a ferry from Bergen, Norway to the Shetland Islands,of Scotland, then a ferry to Ireland, then a ferry to England, camped at Dover, ferry to Belgium, then shipped it to Florida ! Ciao
