Seems he is saying life and learning is about staying immersed in the present moment by attending continuously to one’s senses (including listening when being spoken to), thereby updating one’s conscious awareness in real-time. The art of listening / observing / learning ... is the capacity to perceive information directly-before it is altered by the “Filter” of judging, comparing, categorizing, contrasting, etc. Perhaps the filtering is inevitable, for that is what brains automatically do. But an ability to discern the filtered info from the non-filtered (direct, non-subjectively mediated / influenced / interpreted / DISTORTED) information is a skill that can be cultivated. In a word, this is Mindfulness in “action,” moment after moment.

It is the year 1985, and the next year K died, after talking about the same thing for many decades. He had said, "I have talked about the same thing in 1000's of different ways".... Why can't we learn to listen, like a child does and consumed by what K keeps talking about, and free ourselves from the self ...? He says, "Don't just look at me, please. Do something." Have no conflict. It numbs the brain. Destroys the brain....

Me too! You can see how deeply he cared about helping people to grasp these concepts. The religions and establishments have gone to great lengths to disguise all these truths....they are a parasitic infection in our world!

We have memories gathered over a period of time. When we see,hearing we get back into it and then prejudice overlap and distracted us from impartiality and ending up in fighting. Watching or listening 🎶 without pain body we are feeling much better and decides correctly.

I am sitting hear worrying about how much I need to discipline myself not to overeat or waste my money. And then a quiet evening comes when there is no mind, there is no "me". In that state everything I do has its place. The decisions are correct without trying to think about all the possible consequences. There is no authority, nobody to seek approval from and the anxiety that accompanies that thought. Yet, my actions are always approved and looked upon as right and correct. There is immense beauty and order without the slightiest form of force, of violence.

I wish I could reach that state... but the very desire and will block my way. Had a glimpse of peace 2-3 times but again in a pool of anxiety and anger.

Seeing, listening, smelling, tasting, touching and thinking can all be used as tools to retrieve our real intrinsic natures, that no I, you, he, she, it, Individuality is the Indivisibility, we're the time-space world. Seeing and Listening are the 2 fastest buttons to RETRIEVE to Reality. (Chinese 2 characters for "smart" literally means fine-tuned hearing and clear seeing). But we used these functions to chase after materially stimulating, physically appealing objects. Instead of realizing there's no subject, objects nor matter. Thinker is the thought, Observer is the Observed. Thanks for posting.

*Summary* memorizing means occumulation through intellect. Learning means the very essence of that occumulation. For e.g. we LEARN how to ride a bike only once in life becouse we LEARN the essence of it. But if we read books that how to ride bike well then its just not learning.LEARNING means keeps updating like your android phone does.

15:46 Learning, a form of living that becomes the constant movement of disciplined living - without conflict, without dissonance. Living in harmony & alignment with truth . . . Does such a person feel that they are disciplined, renunciate ? Does a renunciate see themselves as such ? Does the disciple perceive themselves as disciplined ? No they are living a life of joy and peace in which they have found truth. This life, this way of living, is not hard for them because they want it. There is no sacrifice for them.

Reminds me of a story I once heard of a man conversing with Mother Teresa. A man revered her, saying ‘ You’ve given up so much, yet I have sacrificed nothing ! ‘ Mother Tersa laughed out loud saying ‘ It is you who have given up everything. ‘ To choose temporal life rather than living in truth, now that would be giving up everything.

it is probably that scene where ‘u.g.’ and jiddu accidentaly happen to be in the same city after 20 years of absense but I think ug refused to see him cause he refused to listen to any ‘teacher, guru etc.’

Chris Haynik Man you seem to have it all figured out. i look to anyone as a guru. everyone has some experience of something.. piece that together you gain a better understand of other things..you should write a book like the other experts..you could become the richest man in the world or become the next Maitreya. write out a C.V send it to murder incorporated ..and you might just get yourself an interview .. good look
