I Love long QSOs, as a South African ham I love stateside QSOs because we have a lot in common. Resoration, building, Cars, engines, motorcyles. I have regular friends on 20m from States. Just listen and call on the right band at the right time ..

What no answers?! : ) For me it depends on my mood. I can be in an extroverted mood and the words flow easily. Other times I can't think of what to say or I'm fumbling over my words. Maybe that's why alcohol is so popular at social gatherings. When I feel like I can just be myself, I find my curiosity spurs good open-ended questions. People do tend to like talking about themselves (I certainly do).
