or super tanky aztec monks or malian offensive town centers or malays literately endless hordes of swordsmen. Or malay walling their island with docks that shoot arrows AoE 2 is full of meme strats. If you get bored of that you can always use seige towers as medival APCs. Mongolian seige towers can go faster than light calvary.

I would always do a similar thing in Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. Play as the Republic, get jedi masters, get the cloaking ability then have a dozen invisible jedi masters run around the map and convert enemy units.

You're forgetting that in Age of Empires 1 the first mission of the second campaign you started with 1 fully upgraded monk and some resources and had to CONVERT your workforce. It was then that the OGs discovered the true power of Wololo...
