Rock On Dudes! Here is a unique rock inspired remix of the criminally underrated animated film: 'Rock Dog' (2017).
For this remix, I decided bridge the gap between Plunderphonics and Classic Rock. I wanted to throw in influences from a multitude of artists and rock styles from Rock 'n' Roll, to Punk. It was quite fun going out of my comfort zone as a jazz musician; exploring the production of making a rock track! Plus: Eddie Izzard's character 'Angus Scattergood' was a lot of fun to sample for the last chorus!
Composed using samples from the film's vocals, dialogue, music, soundtrack and sound fx; alongside overdubs of 8 string baritone ukuleles, electric guitars, hollow-body electric basses, virtual drum kits and a bit of virtual mellotron and vintage electric grand pianos.
