A 'fully awesome' and action packed Drum 'n' Bass Remix of Walt Disney's 'Bolt' (2008). This film was a big part of my late childhood, so it was fun remixing this charming animated flick.
I wanted to replicate the feel of the 'show' the main protagonist takes part in and also to reflect his pain of finding out the show wasn't real. I feel that I've captured it well with the use of hard tuning in the 'action' section compared to the sections where you hear slight imperfections in the vocals tuning.
I also decided to compose the piece in between B and C to create a warm feeling, but also just to say that I've composed a piece in a microtonal key. Too much music theory? I'm sorry! 😂
Composed with samples from the film's soundtrack, sound fx, vocals, dialogue and extra overdubs of 8 string ukuleles, ukulele basses and solid body electric ukuleles.
I don't own 'Bolt' (2008) in any way. This is a creative pastiche.
