This camera has a next generation look, I’m glad I have one. Trying to compare it my Pocket 4k wasn’t a smart move. This new Cinema 6k is on another level.
@@GlobalProjectsCorp thank you so much! i’m loving this camera so far even with all of its quirks. it’s super cool to hear of others here in SA doing film as well😄 it’s been so lonely for so long lol.
thank you!! yeah I worked on the opening shot the most here. I setup lighting from the outside and had a fill light to bring up the wall behind her just slightly so it didn't look too flat. I then finished it off with some haze to give it a bit more texture!
Hi, I love your work! I've been using the Cineprint35 LUTs on my BMPCC 4K RAW footage, but as soon as I apply the LUT, the image becomes overly contrasty, and the colors don't look like what I see in your videos. I'm editing in DaVinci Resolve, and all my BMPCC 4K settings seem correct-no LUT baked into the files, and I'm shooting in BRAW with an 8:1 compression ratio. Could this issue be due to not having the full version of DaVinci Resolve?
@@evanphotoschannel hmmmm that’s a good question. usually if it’s about not having all of the tools it’ll usually display a Davinci Logo on the screen. if the colors are coming out different than you had originally imagined then it could be the color space transform. the BMD powerade is for the latest Blackmagic color space. you could try looking into one of the nodes where the color space transforms are and adjust it to what you’re shooting in! not sure if that’ll fix it but it’s a good place to start!
Did you change your Timeline and Output color space in the project settings because that could be the issue. In Tom Bolles' video, he recommends you changing the Timeline CS to REC.709 and Output CS to Gamma 2.4 in the project settings. Though I watched another video where someone recommending using REC.709-A in both Timeline and Output CS and that has worked for me as well.
@@Thomas-Fleming no i haven’t but i’ll give that a try! i’ve been setting my project to Davinci wide gamut and the color space to rec709-a. then on export page i make sure that i also set it to rec709-a. and so far so good!
Hey did you changed the sequence settings to rec-709A? Please tell me your sequence settings as Tom said Gamma 2.4 and I’m getting those green hues in my video. Thank you and beautiful video.
@@amitnatty4923 yeah i changed it to rec709-a! i’ve actually been setting my timeline space to davinci wide gamut and the output (gamma i believe) to Rec709-A. this has kept my colors looking really nice while allowing for a wider spectrum of colors for me to grade within
@@AlFirous that’s a good question, i switched lenses around so the aperture didn’t stay the same, but for the camera i had it at 180 degree shutter angle and 320 ISO to help limit the noise!
very nice look. I'd maybe adjust the text color a slight bit, so it fits better with the films color palette. but that's a super subtle thing. great work
no i don’t mind but i also don’t know!😅 it’s a pre made layout that i purchased from tropic color way back in the day. it’s just titled “Grand Belfast” and doesn’t say anything about the fonts they used :/
thanks a ton! I used a variety of vintage glass. I used the Pentax SMC 28mm / Pentax 50mm / Nikon 135mm Ai-S i love vintage glass and what it does to the image. i’m currently trying to transition over to Nikon!
