TV ratings are at the discretion of the network, and often vary from episode to episode, although not wildly - due in large part to that discretion. (Even if somehow you produce an episode of Game of Thrones that would be acceptable viewing for the age group, you're not going to recommend that a seven year old watch it.) TV-14 is currently the highest rating Samurai Jack has ever received. It's also the lowest rating Breaking Bad ever received, whose most intense and violent episodes net the expected TV-MA distinction. _However_ *most* episodes of Breaking Bad actually are the TV-14, lower rating. Therefore it is not inconceivable that future episodes of Samurai Jack will earn the rating, but it's far more likely, given Tartakovsky's assertions, that it won't break with tradition enough to go that far. You have to remember that TV-MA was previously associated (almost entirely) with softcore pornography or "Skinemax" programming. TV-14 is much closer to the MPAA's take on R rated movies as far as graphic violence and non-graphic sexual content is concerned. Unless it contains outright gore, and even that is kind of iffy, if it's a horror story. Rivery also forgot one of the letters (D) for drug use? No suggestive dialogue. Don't ask me how this is different than "language."

Holy fuck this man is absolutely based, he knows very well the things that he want for his show and he is capable to transform that basic vision in something more.
I *KNEW* there was a _cell animated_ "Star Wars: Clone Wars"; I saw somewhere that in THIS series, there's a one shot character who is pretty much Shaggy from "Scooby Doo". Only his usual schtick gets him killed very soon... :'(
Look, I know there's a statute of limitations on spoilers, but you spent 6 minutes convincing me I need to seek out a show that I never watched, and then you end the video by telling me how it ends? Come on now. I'm not even mad; I'd just love to hear the justification for what the video gained in doing so.
The series hasn't concluded yet. Season 5, which just began airing this past Saturday, will be the ending, this video didnt reveal anything significant that should prevent you from watching the show.
I hate to undersell the show, but Samurai Jack wasn't really a _story_ until they started this season. It didn't have an arc, and it didn't end. It was like a lot of other cartoon shows of the time, and also entirely different. That's why it's good that they're ending it, grant some closure. Something episodic television used to never have. Even serialized TV suffered under the old model, that's what happened to Twin Peaks.
+futurestoryteller But that's because the original 4 seasons aren't so much about him going back but more about the growth of the characters in every episode. There are some episodes that focus on the conflict of getting back to the past, like The Guardian episode, but most are about what Jack learns from his experience, like in The Three Blind Archers, where has to learn to focus on his surroundings to stop the Archers, or in The third episode, where the show presents us a Jack driven from being centered and focused, to absolute bloodlust, going insane killing all the beetle drones who are creepily personified to so how lost Jack is. It's just a different way of watching a show. The plot is more of a reason to have the show be what it is, a catalyst for having all this ample story, exploring various themes and environments every episode.
Same here, although it doesn't seem relevant for the story arc of Samurai Jack, they spoiled season 4 with no reason in this video. Just knowing Samurai Jack will achieve almost nothing makes think twice about watching S01-04.
It's a reference to "Rube Goldberg Machine" or clockwork-type mechanics, (such as gears, or hamster wheels) as opposed to something electronic and sophisticated, like a computer. A comparable phrase would be "filmed on a potato" to mock the lesser quality of heavily pixelated digital video, owing to how you're sometimes taught to make a digital clock run on the (limited) energy of a potato in elementary science.

Rob Renzetti co-founded Foster's, I think. He and Genndy Tartakovsky worked together earlier in their careers, so it makes sense that they would have borrowed creatively from each other.
Foster's is more similar to Powerpuff Girls, which was the first show Genndy worked on. His friend Craig McCracken made PPG and Foster's. They went to CalArts together and helped each other out.
