@@jimiray1969. Right around the 50:00 mark Michael starts talking about the actual inner day-to-day workings of the AB, how they conducted their business, paying guards to bring in drugs and so forth, and he sets the tone perfectly to take the interview to the next level when he brings up "illicit activities" with almost a nod and wink like "Hey, ask me about that, guys!" And dude in the back somehow comes up with the question "Sooo, what was the tipping point of you severing ties with the Aryan Brotherhood?" I was in rehab with older guys like him, coming of serious charges, they all have that state he has, the mellow talking voice, but you can just tell you don't wanna fuck with em. My dad was a bit of badass, felon, always fighting with a huge m.c. in my area, and not losing. Sober, he was the nicest guy, would help anyone, anytime. Wasn't this dude's level, not many are, but a badass. Wasn't much of a Dad, never saw him, mom died in car he was driving...long story. Made him crazy, was always tough and a fighter, but he went over the edge. I've seen that, scared me to death. I was young. He died when I just turned 16. Mike Thompson is a highly intelligent and well spoken man. I'm a retired Parole Agent for Ca. and worked for nearly 30 years in the system. Mike Thompson is a legend in the CDCR system. He was one of the most feared inmates and AB's that ever lived. At 6'4" and 250 lbs. he was a formidable adversary to say the least. He is absolutely right when he mentions prison is about survival. Sometimes inmates have to do things that are against the law or policy just to survive. I'm glad Mike was able to parole after 45 years, and appears he's doing well these days. I will have to say some of these stories about his combat, etc. seem a little far fetched in my opinion. There is no doubt he was one bad ass dude and still is! Thanks for sharing!

4/10/21 Great Bio, Thank you. At the end of this discussion what I gleamed from Michael Thompson was he was unjustly incarcerated for 45 yrs and came out alive without any or little bitterness and now helps council others in and of the penile institutions. He is a BAD ASS and a Saint warrior. Most come out extremely bitter and die full of hate, animosity and resentment. Sad.

@@longdays5705 So if Michael Thompson is lying and his story is nothing but fiction as you contend... 1) He was locked-up in California's toughest & worst prisons for 45+ years. 2) Was heavily-recruited by top-tier prison gangs, chief among them, the Aryan Brotherhood. 3) Eventually had a price but on his head and was marked for death by other inmates & prison-gangs... again, chief among them, the AB / "The Brand"... .....all for nothing??

I have done time with Mike in two prisons. I saw him in action at Lancaster. He did subdue someone who tried to attack him, took the shank from this guy, and held him. Great restraint on his part to not stab the other guy. Good luck Mike. Wish you the best. I thank you for your advice and example on rehabilitation.

This was a couple of years before RD (pincushion) passed away. That's when Mike really stepped up working with the goon squad and playing everyone. Inmates, free staff, C.
