Love yalls podcast so much! I have listened to everything up to this point and I am having so much fun with it! This episode helped me out a lot because after finishing TAB I was really confused because I thought in ToG they talked about R. Farran being dead but he was still alive at the end of TAB and this episode cleared that up for me so thank you! I cannot wait to dive into Heir of Fire with yall! Thank you for making this podcast so fun!

I agree about being really confused as to where that river was that Arobynn found her in. I haven't taken notes/deep dived on it so maybe some of the mentions and little things they say about it later on make the geography more clear.

KYLE!!! My co-worker and I BOTH think that Arobynn is the one who killed her parents and that’s why he picked her up. I didn’t look at the map but now I’m really convinced he did it. Also Arobynn is a groomer! It feels like he was grooming Celaena. I think if she had stayed with him and there was no relationship with Sam he may have made a move on her when she was a little older. Also I wish I had read this 1st instead of 3rd. I think I would have more emotional damage by NOT knowing Sam was dead. But yes, I wouldn’t have gotten the Easter Egg about the handsome dude with the Sapphire eyes as being Dorian. As much as I enjoyed these stories I’m not sure if I would include this book in a future reread.

I always felt for her about the not letting him use her soap because it was too fancy and then she loses him shortly after. I felt like it showed her like some of the things you think matter, really don’t.

Well… Zero days without crying about Throne of Glass 😭 As Lauren read 'My name is Sam Cortland and I will not be afraid' Ooouuuff this line hits me everyytiiimeeee. I reread the series last year and I looove your podcast because I don't have to say goodbye to this incredible series yet ❤ Lovely greetings from Germany 🥰

I’ve read all of the SJM books and if she could grant me one wish and make a change in her books it would be this. For Celaena to tell Sam that she loves him. 😢 like she doesn’t even need to save him from such a terrible fate ( but it would be great if she had) but just for Sam to hear those words from her😭😭 Still hurts to think of Sam

I agree! I even thought for a minute, "does she actually love him?? How do we know?!" And then she literally covered him with her jacket just to hold him one last time and couldn't walk away😭 unwell.

I read it in first, and after reading all the books, I don't regret at all. I totally recommend to read first. But it was very nice to know and listen your perspective 😊 Love this podcast 🥰

I'm so torn on the reading order...I read it 3rd as well. I was grateful for the backstory, especially learning more about Sam, but I hated stopping in the middle of the series to go back in time. On the other hand, if I'd read it first, I'm not sure I would've liked it enough to continue with the series...
