well.. let me tell how i understand it... Aslan was gaining 'some' confidence while he lost to Karen during that st. pet open.. the actual turn around and critical moment of his career was the ATP cup.. playing in challengers all this while and when you rub shoulders top guys like Medvedev, Rublev etc, you gain so much confidence... and Medvedev mentioning him as a secret weapon really was one liner that made him believe in himself.. and he turned fearless after that.. and went ahead like a hunter.. he did not care the seeding nor the opponent.. he went guns blazing with his style and he sure was surprised with himself.. once he felt the hang of being deep into tourneys, he is settling in now.. there is no doubt about his talent.. and there are many in challengers who play really good but do not get the spring board momentum.. once you feel good and strong within.. you are gonna roll.. its all in the mind.. cheers!

There is a need for sustainable aggression with a definite formula instead of the ´trainwreck´ tempo that Karatsev plays at _every_ match. You can't be doing: drive-volley winner, forehand long, forehand into the net, acute angle backhand winner, forehand wide, backhand down-the-line howitzer, backhand shank and expect to win many (if any) Masters 1000 tournaments or Slams
