The F-91W has had an amazing run as it's simply functional. I don't see it's production ending anytime soon. It's interesting that it's even been called a design masterpiece

The Casio F-91W is the perfect watch to wear when you don't want to get you 'Tevise Perlative Ceranometer' dirty or damaged.... :-) Can also think of the Casio as the 2CV of watches?

Chris I was wearing the exact same model as yours yesterday! Mine’s the green Perlative Ceronometer! Terrific watch, cheap & keeps great time! My 21 year old daughter loves it👍🏼

Ivan what watch collection is complete without this Casio? I bought one of these about 12 months ago & I love it! It’s amazing people actually ask about it! Cult classic. Ive got Omega, to Tudor, to Citizen, to G Shock. This just floats my boat as much as the top line watches I have. Just yesterday I was wearing a Tevise! I treat them ALL with respect coz I love watches!

Thanks for that - I gotta agree! Also I do tend to ask about it whenever I see someone sport on of these (which is rather uncommon), it's usually an interesting story :)

One of the best things about this watch for me is that you can stroll on down to your local Walmart and buy it. Almost every other watch that I’ve wanted that wasn’t bought at an AD had to be bought online.

I have the similar F105W. It’s very similar except it has the much better Illuminator lume. When I was younger I had a few similar models. The straps would eventually crack. I started wearing a Square G-Shock DW-5600 and that’s my beater. The Square G-Shock is another very iconic watch. I also have a GW-5000 G-Shock. While it can handle beater duty, it’s way to nice to be used for one. That’s the one with the DLC stainless case

Thanks for sharing that - sounds like that model has either an EL or LED backlight. Always great to hear others watch stories, one of the best things about running this channel!

My friend use this watch for 30 years, in December 2020, the watch die and he replace with a new one... same model. I also have 5 of this watch with different color and band type.

This watch has no place in my collection because of the size but a Casio should be in everyone’s collections. I have a world timer and I am very happy with it and I absolutely love that time. Good video and great information as always.

@Pert Watch check the Casio F-84W-1, it has better design than F-91W and it sells only in Japan. It has same function and better strap :), but little bit more expensive. I bought it last week for 14 USD!

Have had one or two over the years , but you have to be really careful buying on eBay as most are fakes! It's not a great cost, but I want the real deal, not a rip-off ,even at 10 bucks!

There are many MUCH better watches at that price, but i doubt ANY will earn the respect this Casio has gained. While i like its classic retro design, its just WAY too small for anyone except a child.

1989 release? It was released in 1991 not 1989. The module is also the 593 not a 563. Got to say its not like you to make so many mistakes. Great review though 👍

Was it 1991? I guess that's what happens when you try to rely on memory alone! ;) Oh, and I probably read 563 thanks to my presbyopia - giving away my age there!!
