Great watch. I bought it earlier this year for my watch collection. It’s actually an abalone dial. At night when the lume glows that dial comes to life. 🤩💪🏻

"Comically oversized" is such a nonsense thing to say. It's like putting on someone else's glasses, and yelling "WHO COULD POSSIBLY SEE THROUGH THESE!?" Just because something doesn't fit you personally, that doesn't mean you were the target demographic, but the manufacturer was too stupid to understand your tastes. I feel like people like you must go into Big & Tall stores, start laughing, and go to the manager saying, "WhEn wilL thiS oVer-SizEd cLotHinG tRenD stOpp??"
Wow , that weight. Fun watch, but a bit of outline around those hands would help some with legibility. Ivan, one other watch that uses the Ronda movement is the Tuseno Shellback. Thanks.
Thanks for that - oh I'm sure we can find many more watches that use this movement. I was simply surprised I'd never come across this despite going thru hundreds watches over the years!

Somebody mentioned Invicta, which I do see, but it also reminds me of Aragon watches, which often come in around 50 mm and have rather garish design cues. Wing from Aragon does often use the R150 in his Swiss movement watches, but he doesn’t sell them at this price point!
Yep agreed… it does also remind of Aragon. Movement alone does *not* make the watch… as you may know, 2824 movements can be found in watches ranging from $500 up to around $3000 and even higher.

I think it might be a bit too late for Nove to patent the ratchet and pawl, but the application is certainly inspired. If nothing else it would be a conversation starter. It is objectively too big though.

I'm not a large watch type of fella, but that is a tremendously appealing item. I enjoy the all of the interesting features and the machining is nifty cool. Solid video bud!

@PerthWAtch too big for my taste. I'm not really a dive watch fella. Absolutely appreciate them, but I dig a 36mm dress watch more. And, I keep repeating I find it fascinating.

Wowwwwwwww x 1000 = very narrow sales window. This has more than a dozen unique (in a way, selling points) features & functions cramped into one huge & "arnold schwarzenegger" style watch that can literally kill few people with. Honest, there are features and designs that I truly love and hate. Love the unique case design, level for the bezel, back case design (even though bit too much of everything..etc). And what I hate this was that the company put everything all together in one watch. By the way, as you said, the clasp really does not go with the watch at all. I just can not find the identity of this watch. oh... the MOP dial really got misplaced in that watch. That does not belong in that watch design. Ivan, I do not know what to say. there are some aspects of this watch that are really awesome, but like the dial MOP, clasp, black bezel that got mixed with Rolex fluted bezel..etc .... it just does not fit and match. Again, there are many great designs and the each design really deserve to be shined as main focal point.

Thanks Alex! Yeah good points... really should have split the ideas up into a few watches, probably much better implemented that ways. I don't like the MOP either myself, but I understand some people love it and, you know, dive watch with a sea creature, not all that inappropriate it would seem. Narrow sales window indeed haha!

Nobody could accuse you of producing endless revues of boring watches. This is a very industrial looking watch, I could see Iron Man wearing one. Lots of design gone into this all of it missing the mark. Not keen on a cyclops but at least you can read the date. Nice to see the R150 for a change but the combination of design elements conspire to make a watch that is difficult to actually tell the time with so it could have an NH35 without affecting its performance. The lever is basically trying to reinvent the wheel. Its just something to catch on things and for muck to lodge behind. A very large ungainly watch with a relatively small and crowded dial. It would be interesting to know if anyone buys one.

Yeah very good points there Phil - the lever is novel but would indeed be a magenta for muck and other stuff getting stuck in there. An NH35 would serve pretty much as well but would fail to provide the “Swiss Made” selling ticket which they were going for.
