The ASTRA MILITARUM Lore Overview - Warhammer 40,000 The Imperial Guard: Hammer of the Emperor 

It was super fun working on this particular video. The visuals of the second Chapter were made using the Orks and Death Korps of Krieg miniatures I have in my small collection. More of these to come in future episodes. Special thanks to Adam, Skrubasauras and Josh who gave life to this episode with their great voice acting and narration. As stated in the video, we are going to explore some of the Astra Militarum's regiments including the Death Korps of Krieg, Vostroyans, Cadians and more. The Imperial Guard is the reason why the Imperium has endured for the past ten thousand years, and without the Emperor mortal armies mankind would have fallen prey to the Grim Darkness of Galaxy.

The Tanith First and Only are exemplar examples of how the Imperial Guard are more than mere meat shields as they punch above their weight class in every engagement.

The Mordian Iron Guard would be a good example of the Astra Militarum i say!

Hard to believe the gaurd number in the hundreds of trillions yet it’s still not enough to beat the horrors of what they face in their galaxy makes you respect them more especially since their regular people great work btw

I’m mean yeah sure you get turned into cannon fodder and you’re given a flashlight but at least you get some kind of Ill defined reward of joining the emperors side in the warp or something when you die.

The Astra Militarum is the best way to attain the sweet relief of death from the literal worst empire ever!

The Las rifle is the best infantry rifle in 40K. It is superior to it's Xenos contemporaries. It is reliable and effective in killing the enemies of the Imperium. It's magazine can be recharged with a fire and it in combination with a bayonet is deadly within mid to cqb distances. For the Emperor!!!

Poor Warhammer. As if the Sisters of Silence/Battle, the female Assassins, the Imperial Guard female soldiers and the Eldar/Tau female warriors aren't enough. We fans must respond to this intolerable corruption like this: Waaagh! There are so many amazing strong female characters in Warhammer that everyone likes because they are beautiful and well written. This other stuff is just giving the dog the bone and then everything else follows.

Oh em gee! Please cover the Tanith First and Only (aka Gaunt's Ghosts) and their commander Colonel-Commissar Ibram Gaunt! Their story across the Sabbat worlds crusade are some of the most badass and interesting reads of all time! I'm not even exaggerating when I say some of their accomplishments would probably make the Astartes blush =]

You feel anxiety in your body, despair and fear start to seep into your soul. "Hey." You feel a hand slap the back of your head forcing you to turn to face your Sergeant behind you named Ogg Sabustov, a veteran of several campaigns in the Astra Militarum. "Focus rookie! Never let fear grip you before combat or else you will end up in a body bag or a bloody smear on a some random wall." he tells you seeing the doubt and fear on your face. You nod in reply and shake the thoughts out of your mind. You know the regiment you were conscripted into from your world, one of millions in the galaxy, into the greatest army Mankind ever fielded in its history, was about to enter the warzone part of thousands of new recruits and battle-hardened veterans sent to a sector under attack from the Ork Xenos, knowing you have been told of the savage and warlike race destroying and ravaging all in its unstoppable path. "Heh, our newest member to the squad about to piss himself!" hearing the voice of Corporal Zu Dagispic joking about you. "Can it Zu, the newbie was just getting out his doubts, lest they cost the entire squad our lives." Ordered the Commissar Lektra Vakren ordering the corporal to be silent. Hearing her voice, Zu shut his mouth knowing their Commissar served the same amount of tours of duty as the Sergeant had. [CLEAR HANGER] [PREPARE TO DEPLOY] Hearing the announcement over the vox-speakers, the whole squad readied their equipment and you being the youngest and newest member carried the least amount save for the basics given to you just after training. The whole hanger was filled with Valkyrie Transports lighting up their engines and soon every platoon started to load up onboard them with your squad filling up on their assigned transport. You were the last one to board but, was now starting to feel less doubt and more pride in your duty, you may be one of billions of soldiers going to war to defend Mankind, but you know from what your Sergeant and Commissar have told and enforced into you, you will do your duty that the God-Emperor of Mankind have assigned to every man, woman, and child of the Imperium. Fight and kill every daemon, xenos, and traitor so Humanity would survive another day, no matter the cost that must be paid in blood!

Wow it took me this long to see this video. My favorite of the imperium factions. I always like their style of warfare. In particular i enjoy the ogryn. I always find ways that the other imperium factions could work with the guard like an imperial knight lending it's services in battle or a tech priest repairing a bane blade. LOVE ME STUBBA! LOVE ME RIPPA! LOVE ME EMPRAH!

Can you do the Tau empire auxiliaries please with each species purpose within the Tau army, Also my favorite imperial regiment is the depth corp of krieg but i also heard of another regiment that is similar to krieg i forgot the name but they wear gold mask and zealous fighters

the imperium army, in a galaxy full horrors these men fight to hold the imperium, they are no superhuman like the marines, piloting titans or knights, or the sister of battle with faith as their weapon, but that doesn't make them any less of a warrior. fight on humans of the imperium!
