I missed your concert after buying VIP tickets and you were nice enough to send me and my gf hella merch and even a signed poster. Hell yeah im using those picks brother. Much appreciated from NYC from Migs and Dant
Its a shame you missed that. I was there and it was Off the rails great. I'm not at all surprised That Clay responded and sent you something. I met them briefly just before the concert, They are a really as friendly as they are talented. They deserve all the recognition and the accolades in the world (IMHO).
RTYWD had Genesis, Playing God, and the Audacity as its first three tracks. Clay is uploading his playthroughs in the album's order. So the next one may be Reverie (?)
The overall composition is fascinating for this song. It's unreal how the energy stays up and seems to be continually passing the ball around as far as each member playing something percussive that's complimentary to each moment. I'm sure there were just as many frustrating points like with anything else, but I can't help but feel like the writing process for this song was a blast for everyone figuring out their contributions and hearing it come together
Thank you so much for posting these! I really like the camera angle where you can see the bass from the front, the secondary camera angle, would love to see more of that, you can see the finger placing more easily in my opinion.
I've been begging for this in dms with my friend "omg I hope he uploads the audacity" every time you uploaded a new vid, ever since I heard it the first time. You sir just made my fucking week dude thank you so much!
I'm sure others have said it, but I appreciate how reserved you are. Instead of just playing a bass version of guitar, you ground the song with those low tones and rhythms. Sounds great!
such a pro! you make those little trill things look so effortless. i broke both my hands last time i tried to do that.... Also, is that the bass you use when you record? it sounds so damn good. KEEP 'em coming!
The crazy part is Clay started out as a Guitar player then moved to bass.... Same for the other Clay or was a high school drummer and didn't play drums for like years until after college he picked up drums again but this time quit his job and takes music seriously. Crazy props for both Clays to go beyond their means and it helps make Polyphia such a great band.
