The Australian War Memorial recieves an IED damaged Bushmaster from the Australian Defence Force

The Australian War Memorial acknowledges the on-going support of the Australian Defence Force in assisting with the development of the National Collection, and in particular thanks all those personnel who assisted with the selection, donation and delivery of this vehicle.
This includes but is not limited to ADF members in the Middle East Area of Operations; Lieutenant Colonel Shaun Muldoon and his logistics staff in Army Headquarters; and 26 Transport Squadron 9th Force Support Battalion, which provided transportation of the vehicle from Queensland to Canberra.

As he said not a single digger (that's what we call our aussie soldiers) has died in a Bushmaster. We also had bushmaster in Iraq and Afghanistan as early as 2006, much before the MRAP as I recall, I honestly feel sorry for the Americans going out in Humvees and the Brits going out in their land rovers.

RNZIR are getting almost 50 new ones off Thales Australia. Sharing commonality once again with our closest ally.Nh90 , P8, Bushmaster. Our RNZN Anzac frigates origins in Australia. Even our coastal patrol and sealift ship built there.

@@kcharles8857 dont look now, but defence might scrap or severely downgrade our helicopter purchase. quote from people involved is that helicopters probabaly don't fit into the defence strategy of australia

Might want to check your mail about Iraq mate they were proven in Iraq we just got lucky but they were exposed to IED and indirect fire all the time Google The battle Al Rumatha

The Bushmaster is a fantastic piece of Australian engineering designed and built at Bendigo Victoria by ADI which was bought by Thales as the first Bushmaster vehicles were being Introduced Into Service with the Australian Army. As always Dr Brendan Nelson AO should be applauded for his ongoing support of the AWM and our service personnel.

Didn’t know anything about this vehicle before Ukraine, but it certainly looks very tough and a great idea to show it like this in this condition, after all it’s done it’s job perfectly and the soldiers I’m sure walked away to go for a pint🍻🍺 We’ll done Australia for your generous donation of these to Ukraine , I’m sure they’ll be very effective 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

I know the crew commander that wad in this when it blew up he was later my section commander and troop sergeant. He and others were injured he himself quite severely but he made it out and is doing well now.

Russian and Ukrainian tanks are currently being torn apart from modern, shoulder fired Anti-armour weaponry and not RPG pea-shooters in Afganistan or Iraq

Good video. But just one correction. Bushmaster was designed in Ireland by a company called Timoney Technology Ltd, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timoney_Technology_Limited_of_Ireland#Australian_Bushmaster_Troop_Carrier
