The bass is thunderous on these old things. Good quality turntables too, on most models. I used to stack 45s on mine, I even had a great adapter that came with it. The brand name evades me though. It had vacuum tubes, whatever it was.
I remember our 1967 Magnavox 100 watt stereo console. It had 2 horns and 2 woofers. Like all such models the power rating was in RMS. In actuality our Magnavox put out 20-25 watts.
Nice. I have a “relationship” with two mid-century RCA units, both intensively restored and re-engineered to bring them up to audiophile quality sound separation. If you got the space to make a Mid Century design statement, these increasingly rare boxes are hard to beat.
