The "have you ever tried shawarma" line was improvised. They added the post credit scene later. Also the "that man's playing Galaga" which also they added a scene of one of the agents playing the game when the Avengers went out of the ship
The shawarma scene was shot after the movie debuted in Europe and before it was released in the US when they all attended the NY premier. Those are the real restaurant owners in the back cleaning up to close for the night. Chris Evans had grown facial hair for another role which is why he's resting his cheek on his hand through the entire shot.
49:48 SHIELD using the Tesseract at face value does make sense for the reasons Fury stated. With people like the Avengers around, humanity needs a defense against the super powered. However, to Thor’s point, because it’s a cosmically powerful object, it draws interstellar attention.
Man it’s so weird looking back at this movie (10 year anniversary coming up soon - damn I feel old). It’s simultaneously a miracle that a movie with this many heroes on screen worked as well as it did at the time, and absolutely adorable that we thought it was a big deal when you compare it to like Endgame, where 20+ named heroes share the screen.
Tony was wrong with the "the only good thing about you came out of a bottle" line because technically what came out of the bottle amplified the good that was already in Steve. Erskine saw the good in Steve which was why he chose him.

@@OneAndOnlyMe Your last statement sounds extremely bitter lol People are allowed to mature, grow, and heal from their traumas in life. By the time Avengers came out Tony had already become accountable for his actions and more selfless. What Tony meant in his statement was that Steve wouldn't have had as great an impact on the world if not for the serum. The average joe can be a great person and have impact on their local community, but not on the scale of Capt. America.
@@candykane6480 No one said Tony wasn't allowed to grow as a person. The point was the he *had* to grow into a better person. Whereas Steve Rogers was good from the get go.
But it's not canon anymore and its four season, they dont have time for that. So stick with the canon stories, Wanda vision series, Loki series and other.

You guys missed the Mid-Credit Scene. Every movie from "The Avengers" has atleast 2 credit scenes.. (Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.2 has 5 credit scenes) Make sure to watch them all.. You can start reviewing while watching the credits.. if in case you wanna save more time.. & Then can react when the credit scenes comes on screen in between the discussions..

everyone always focuses on what tony says to steve in this movie, the bottle thing and yes steve had plenty of courage and a good heart but it's still true... neither of those things were gonna bring him anywhere if it weren't for the super soldier serum. but what steve said was literally not true because the iron man suit wasn't given to tony, he made it from scratch while being in captivity. tony's suit was never his superpower to begin with, it was his intelligence.
What Tony said isn't true either, he said "everything" special about him came from that bottle. But not a single bit of it was, him being special is the reason he got that bottle. He proved himself and earned that serum based on whose he is, not the other way around. It's irrelevant if he wouldn't have been a superhero without the serum, the point is no one was more worthy of it than him.
both Tony and Steve were out of line in that scene in my opinion, though they did hold some truth. going by your logic, steve voluntarily took the serum even after the possible deadly outcome that was on the line. this demonstrates intense courage and determination, something neither of the avengers would've done if they were in his shoes (if you genuinely think about it). so you could argue that Steves superpower was never his strength, but rather his mentality and unwavering morals that allowed him to remain immensely loyal and courageous even in hopeless circumstances. its really about perspective and bias.
You guys should talk while the credits roll, this way you dont miss them and can get your thoughts out. Kind of like the theater experience. Just an idea
They've developed cap and stark's relationship soooo well over the course of the Saga! At the many times they come at eachother and fight we can see both of their points, and they even shift their opinions as well
Edward Norton has such a huge ego, he rewrites every script. Originally The Incredible Hulk was a sequel to Ang Lee's Hulk, but he rewrote it. I don't think it was possible for them to keep Norton AND have an interconnected MCU.
here is my humorous description for each character as we introduce them: Loki: plotting with mysterious other worldly weirdos Hawkeye: hanging out in the lab Black Widow: doing what she does best Hulk: sticking to the backstreets. Captain America: working out and re-living memories Iron Man: overcompensating as per usual. Thor: late by lightning.
Since it looks like you guys liked Coulson I’d recommend Agents of Shield. Season one is a bit slow but after that the rest of the season are top tier. Warning, it is a bit of a long series so I’d recommend you watch it after you finished some shows first. FYI the show did get a lot of hate because of the first season but don’t let it turn you away. Trust me, all the other season are just as good as any of the movies in the marvel universe.
Joss Whedon did the script for Avengers...the same guy who did Buffy, Angel, Firefly...Dollhouse...his script writing talents are legendary... people in power are always corrupt...why would shield be any different
This isn't a spoiler because it was in the trailers and all the promo posters but Phil Coulson is the lead of the Agents of Shield tv show they will eventually explain how he comes back in the show I highly recommend you guys watch it
Just a fun fact: Some people avoid the trailers and have third parties (that already watched the show or don't care about it) start up the first episode for reasons like this.
The MCU world-building is one of the best world-building I've seen. It's one of my favorites. They've set up everything so wonderfully. Pieced everything together. And they bring everyone together in a central movie. It's just an amazing universe they set up for all Marvel movies. All the characters exist there. And now they can create any movie/Tv show from the universe they set up. I just love it!!
That a lie because he couldn’t do much as a small skinny kid but the “bottle” made him captain America.His character is the same but we’re talking about “powers” here
@@bigpoppa7019 it depends on how you define and interpret 'special'. to me, that doesn't necessarily have to mean powers. even when rogers was a 'small skinny kid', he stood up for himself and others around him, and had more courage and loyalty than anybody at the time. the serum simply enhanced this quality, alongside giving him superhuman strength and abilities. the 'bottle' only gave him powers, but if stark or any other avenger were given the serum, the outcome would be massively different even though they'd possess they exact same 'powers'. what makes rogers special is not even remotely about the abilities he gained after the serum, but what was there before the serum. this is evident towards the end of endgame (which I will not spoil) but if you know you know.
Everything special did come out the bottle 😂 I mean he was a good man but it was because he was a good man that he was able to become the “perfect” super soldier.

Hulk was the MVP for real. Ed Norton would have *also* been good in this role, but there probably was some reason why he wasn't in it. I don't know. Mark Ruffalo did great as well. So I'm not upset. What is crazy though is that there apparently was something in Black Widow's contract that made them have to re-write the entire film back when it was in development. Zooey Deschanel was supposed to be in this, and have a much bigger role than Scarlett Johansson -- but Scarlett had much more star power and ran her out of these films. The character wouldn't return to the MCU until years and years later. (And no longer played by Zooey Deschanel.)
Short answer to why Banner/Hulk after changed is Norton wanted to keep the Hulk as more in line with to darker tone akin to the character of the comics and in his "Incredible Hulk" movie , Marvel said no , so we got Ruffallo.
Strongest or most powerful? Ppl debate hulk being the strongest and thor the most powerful. But let's face it. It depends where the get nerfed or simply how they're written.

But proven to be less stronger than black widow). So..... the educated person, of course Thor can beat Natasha as a DEMI-GOD but am 100% sure that without d thunder, hammer or inherited power from daddy , she will kick his a***.... Honestly I don't debate with u (the educated person) SHE IS THE STRONGEST BADASS OF THAT GROUP (eventhough my favourite is Hulk)

i wouldn't say the most powerful but it is impressive her and hawkeye are so great all on their own being normal humans i think bw is enhanced in the comics (her and hawkeye are less powerful in general compared to their comic counterparts) but in the mcu her and hawkeye aren't super and can keep up with those who have a lot of help which again, is impressive and strong of them
Fun fact: After Coulson’s death, a bunch of fans started a #CoulsonLives movement online and it was so big that it helped create Agents of SHIELD! The only question is…if he died here, how is he starring in his own show? I guess you’ll have to watch it to find out!
Did you just really spoil the reality of his death? Like what was the point of that... Like why even attempt the show if you already ruined a good surprise for the start of it. That's like commenting on their Thor 2 reaction when it came out and saying "Hey! Loki isn't dead! You all saw the after credit scene! Well fun fact: He's also the villain for the Avnegers movie! Want to know how? I guess you'll have to wait it to find out!".
The comics stated that Thor is stronger than the hulk but because Thor doesn't want to kill he always holds back while Hulk smashes at full power. If Thor wanted to destroy hulk he could but chooses not to.
Most people are with cap with that cap vs stark roast….but I stand with Tony…because Tony made the suit himself and if they were to take his suit…he can make another one because he is still a genius…you can’t say that about cap because someone else made his suit that came out of a bottle….if someone were to revert cap back to how he was before his transformation…cap wouldn’t be where he is
Yes. The Avengers had a lot of humor in this superhero movie. I saw this when it premiered on the big screen, abandoned the theater was packed with people & the seats were filled. It was an awesome time. So much action. Loki was the cruelest villain. The post credits from every marvel film, doesn’t give the audience too much on spoiling. It just perfect. All rights guys. If you did not see Steve Rogers became a superhero. You have to watch the origin story : Captain America: The First Avenger. Marvel Avengers came out way before, Captain America. The origin stories for the Avengers, were made later for Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk with a different actor. Thor, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, most recently Black Widow. the hulk movies show him as bigger and hulk IS big but the avengers hulk is more of a comic accurate size hulk is big but not a literal giant bigger than buildings huge
Don't worry it it goes down in quality with the next Iron-man and Thor movies, it goes up from there and remains 7 or above with every movie that comes after those 2.
