Edit 2: hey all, I'm blown away by the support on this video, and I'm very grateful! That said, I need to clarify, this is *not* a Kenshi channel. Never has been and never will be, and as such I have no plans to make more Kenshi content after this one. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but I'm afraid that if you came here for kenshi content, this may not be the channel for you. Thanks for understanding. Edit: 10k views is wild! Thanks for all the support on this. If you liked it maybe check out some of my other videos? No worries either way, im grateful for the love on this one.
This would make a surprisingly good ad for the game. You just need a segment where your elite and successful characters' travel party go to the swamps thinking they can handle it and get swarmed by so many spiders that survival is no longer an option.
Kenshi: the game where there is no good ending, there are no heroes, and you're probably going to die. But if you survive, you'll at least become a legend... or a snack for beak things.
For some reason, youtube occasionally, as in every couple months, recommends various Kenshi stories people make despite me A) never having owned the game, B) never looking it up. But each and every time it do I keep thinking to myself "Man, this game looks brutal, but super fun at the same time." But I know these kinds of games are the only things that turn my adult sense and responsibility into dust and consume my every waking second, but boy, this little story made me lean ever so much closer to buying this game.
I started playing 3 weeks ago and when not playing or adulting I'm watching videos / reading reddit about it or messing with my mod list to get the ultimate immersion playthrough. If you can get past its indie charms it really is an amazing game.
Thank you so much for making this video! Rather than showing my friends who know nothing about the game some cheesed speedrun video, this really accurately shows what someone's first save looks like. Now I have a great video to send out ❤.
"Unluckiest Hiver" Didn't lose any additional limbs. First city wasn't a Holy Nation City. Wasn't devoured alive by a beak thing. Seems like a good day in Kenshi to me.
Such a great game. I love how you start as a nobody and the world doesn't care if you live or die. Survive long enough and you can rise to become the leader of a faction or a nation, or be hated by all. Either way it's a blast!
quick advice, don't run away while being shipped to a slave camp until you're deep in the desert. then you can stop walking, and let everyone else leave. makes escaping slavery a breeze
Today was my first time playing the game. I started as a slave because I heard it makes leveling certain things easier and you don't starve etc.. after a while I felt confident enough to escape and ran away with some other liberated slaves. I forgot to take food with me, so I ran to a city, which of course was part of the Holy Nation. They saw through my disguise captured me and I can't leave my cell because of the high amount of guards standing there (it's like 40 guards, I kid you not). So yeah, I'm an Ex slave now who rots on his prison cell waiting to die (if they would let me)
The saddest part is that even if Grumble made it to the village, they would have kicked him out in fear his non-hive mentality could spread. Yet another reason why robots and Hivers (or 2-in-1 with UWE mod) are the best team comp in Kenshi :)
Always stick to a city. Scavenge the dead bodies the gate quards leave behind. Mine ore for strength and cats. Run for speed. That and strength are the first 2 stats I train. If I can outrun them, I'll live.
